Welcome to this story. Get ready to die. I am your father. I borrowed the picture fron google I know, here's my disclaimer chicos. Anyway, please, take a seat, you don't want to be standing up, or in a public place when you meet Maria... she's... special. AND DON'T CONSUME ANYTHING WHILST READING!!
Maria's POV
"DANNY! COME BACK I NEED THAT!" I yelled as I chased my brother, Danny, down the hallway.
He had just popped out of nowhere when I was unpacking my suitcase into the new apartment, grabbed my computer off my desk and ran for the hills.
He skidded to a stop in from our our father when he reached the kitchen.
"Danny. Give Maria her computer." He said sternly.
"Come on dad! She promised that I could play coolmath on it!" He complained, using his adorable giant brown eyes.
I swear they break my heart every time, but deals are deals. When I make a deal and he doesn't follow through, he doesn't get the rewards.
"Danny. I promises you could play coothmath when we got here, if you left me alone on the trip here. And I'm pretty sure those last 10 minutes here, you were poking me in the shoulder and asking me repeatedly if you could use the computer I was doing my homework on."
He pouted, "But you have to share!"
I thought about it. I really didn't need to, I bought that computer with money I had earned selling girl scout cookies. It was completely mine.
"How about this, we make a new deal?" I asked him.
His bright green eyes gleamed with excitement and he nodded.
"If you can unpack your clothes in less than 10 minutes —that includes actually putting them away and not dumping them in a drawer— then I'll give you the computer for 20 minutes. Deal?" I asked.
"Deal!" He yelled and shoved the computer into my hands before taking off to go unpack.
"One!" I yelled.
"He's not going to make it. That kid can't fold to save his life." My mom said from behind her newspaper.
"I'll say I forgot to set the timer." I told her beforr walking over to my room and plugging in the old computer.
I grabbed my phone and finished unpacking. I hadn't brought much anyway, this was just for two weeks and I could rewash clothes to wear.
I plopped down on my bed and started googling. I wanted to make the most out of the experience, and because no one was going to take in a weird teenager for any educational classes, I'd need to find a martial arts class or gym to spend my time at.
So I was about to start searching for one, but the local news caught my attention.
Another foot clan attack was thwarted last night but once again, our mysterious saviors are unknown.
Rumors are spreading of a group of FBI agents taking on the foot clan secretly, but there is still no evidence.
However this attack has left the NY police department scratching their heads as they tie up 30 more foot soldiers.
Well that sounds cool, mysterious heroes taking on the foot clan. Now that sounds like something to devote my time to figuring out. I could be a reporter. Since, I already tried out detective and it didn't quite fit. But hey, at least those forensic science and physics classes didn't go to waste right?
"MARIA!" I heard Danny yell.
Then he popped up in my doorway, holding a goofy smile on his adorable face.
