My heart ached for her compassion
And yet she did nothing
My eyes begged for her forgiveness
And yet she did nothing
I waited and waited, arms sore from caring the burden of mending our relationship
And yet she did nothing
Until she did something
But I had already accepted she didn't want me anymore
