Now, I've read the Goosebumps book Say Cheese and Die! by R.L. Stine more than once, and I think it's really neat and amazing, as well as superbly inspiring and highly well-written, too.

The protagonist is 12-year-old Greg Banks, and his friends — Shari Walker, Doug "Bird" Arthur and Michael Warner — are also introduced. One thing about Greg that I took notice of is, he reminds me of me a little because we both have a liking for cameras (although the camera I have is quite different from the one in the book).

Plus, if I had to pick a favorite part of this really cool book, it would most definitely be this one:

Greg was very interested in cameras. He had an inexpensive automatic camera, which took okay snapshots. But he was saving his allowance in hopes of buying a really good camera with a lot of lenses.

He loved looking at camera magazines, studying the different models, picking out the ones he wanted to buy.

Sometimes he daydreamed about traveling around the world, going to amazing places, mountaintops and hidden jungle rivers. He'd take photos of everything he saw and become a famous photographer.

His camera at home was just too crummy. That's why all his pictures came out too dark or too light, and everyone in them had glowing red dots in their eyes.

Greg wondered if this camera was any good. (p. 18)

Plus, the idea of photography in both fiction and in real life is really amazing, as well as very intriguing to those of us who like cameras and taking pictures.

Now, I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes reading about scary stuff or mentions of photography and cameras in books. Plus, I give this book five stars (although ten stars would be even better).
