a/n: hi i'm sorry for not updating i don't have a lot of motivation but summer break is coming up for me so woo woo. 

i originally made this one-shot with f/n as a oc of mine back in February with actual capitals LMAO so dismiss the capitals in this one-shot even though it's proper for writing. i basically just copy and pasted this down from a document and i'm too lazy right now to edit it. I just edited some parts. I mainly just wanted to update so yeah.

Everyone says Eren has changed. I thought the same, but maybe that was wrong.. Eren has never changed from the start. If that was Eren's true form.. I wonder what part of Eren I had been seeing.

The Scouts and I were voyaging out to Marley on a large ship. I stood in between Eren and Mikasa. Eren was gazing out at the sea and land of Marley while the breeze danced through his brunette hair.

"There really are towns outside the walls... and people are living in them." Connie stated out loud.

"Don't say things like "outside the walls" in front of other people." Jean told.

"Ah... I told you, I get it." Connie batted an eye.

Sasha spoke up as she stared at the land of Marley in disbelief "at last...we are the first people from inside the walls to lay foot on territory outside the walls..."

"...I told you not to say it!" Jean retorted.

"We could say this is the job we were given from the very start," Hanji grinned. "Our survey begins."

The Scouts had stepped off the boat once it arrived next to Marley's dock. We were all disguised in business suits. I wore a white long sleeved button up shirt underneath a light teal suit. I also wore a long dark teal skirt, and light teal hat. I stood next to Jean, looking around at this unfamiliar and new continent in disbelief. We ended up seeing it. The truth of the outside world...

Onyankopon removed his hat from his head, dipping it. "Everyone, welcome to the continent of Marley. I'll lead you to the Azumabito residence." He said as we all followed after him. Connie, Sasha, and Hanji noticed a car driving in the streets.

"Ahhh?!" Sasha shouted.

"That horse!! Is that a horse?! What?!" Connie shouted.

"A cow...? Isn't it a cow?! That's a cow!!" Sasha shouted.

"It's a car! We heard about it before coming!! Hey car!!" Hanji shouted as well, waving over at the car that drove through the streets.

Jean looked back at the three, his face tinted red from embarrassment. He let out a tiny scoff. "This is bad, they're looking at them..." Armin sweat-dropped.

"Yeah.. they're definitely thinking they're some kind of bumpkins right now." Jean grabbed the tip of his hat, covering his face slightly. Armin made an 'eh?' noise.

"Let's pretend we don't know them.." Jean murmured.

"Good idea, Jean.." I muttered. I walked away from Jean and Armin and walked over to Mikasa and Eren.

"If you don't stop them, they'll try to make that lump of iron eat a carrot.." Levi scoffed next to Onyankopon.

"Haha, no way.." Onyankopon looked over at the three "they're buying a carrot!!"

"So many people.." Mikasa murmured. Mikasa looked back at Eren who stood next to me, looking around.

"Hey Eren, we don't know what's in here, so... stay close to me and [F/N]." she told him. Eren wasn't paying attention to him. I tapped his shoulder, causing his attention to turn to me.
