-NYCC GREEN ROOM-

SEBASTIAN'S P.O.V.

I think I found my new life's mission: making sure there's always a smile on Gwen's face... even if it's covered by her hands, a pillow... or, if I'm lucky, maybe my shoulder or neck. Listening to her talk about how she would stay in the background and how she wasn't noticed by people was heartbreaking. What happened to her that made her want to close herself off from the world? Someone like her should never hide her face in the shadows; my angel deserves to have the light shine on her always... that is IF I can get her to let go of that pillow.

"You're just trying to make me blush again; aren't you?" Yes, she still has the pillow over her face; yes, her words are muffled and, yes, it's adorable

"You're just trying to make me blush again; aren't you?" Yes, she still has the pillow over her face; yes, her words are muffled and, yes, it's adorable.

"That all depends. Is it working?" I ask taking my spot next to her on the couch.

"Yes."

"Can I see?" There's a bit of laughter in my voice.

"No."

"Please?"

"No, because right now, you're using those puppy dog eyes and this pillow is my only defense against them."

Gotta admit; that's pretty good strategy. Also... how could she possibly know that and her eyes are covered? It doesn't matter anyway, because I have a counter for it.

"Gwen, I promise you I'm not using the eyes."

"Really?"

"Cross my heart." Now, I just wait for her to take the bait and I don't have to wait long. It takes only a couple of minutes for her to move the pillow from her face and when she turns her head to look at me... she's face to face with Seb the puppy.

"No fair! You crossed you heart!"

"I also crossed my fingers." I bring out my right hand that was hidden behind my back and show her that my fingers were, indeed, crossed. I flash her a cheeky grin... that gets lightly pelted with the pillow. If it means I get to see those cheeks of hers with that rosy glow, I'll gladly take a cushion to the face. The frown she has on her face soon curls into that beautiful smile I've grown very fond of. She folds her arms and tries to glare at me, but that smile manages to break through.

"Why can't I stay mad at you?" She pouts.

Before I get the chance to answer her, the event coordinator tells us that we should be making our way to the 3rd floor for the panel. Four more of my castmates are supposed to join us for the panel. The only reason they aren't here with us this morning is because they had a prior engagement and flew in last night. I texted them earlier telling them everything about Gwen and they're excited to meet her.
