Maddie is driving ng mapansin nyang sobrang tahimik ng binate kaya napalingon ito sa likuran at medyo nagpanik.
“Basty?” pagtawag nito ngunit hindi sumagot ang binata. “Basty sumagot ka!” pagpapanik nito.
“Hmm, I’m not dead” inaantok na sagot ng binata.
Napahinga naman ito ng maluwag sa pagkakaakalang wala na ang binata.
“You scared me”
“Don’t be..” sabi nito at pumikit uli. “Simula nang inamin ko na nahuhulog na ako sayo, I promised myself not to leave you.”
Maddie just smiles at sumulyap sa may rare-view mirror
“Even if it is impossible for me to live here on earth, kakayanin ko parin kasi pinangako ko sa sarili ko na mabubuhay ako para sayo.”
“Ang keso mo nanaman, magpahinga kana nga ulit para may lakas ka mamaya..”
“San tayo pupunta?”
“Hmm, sa La union? I’ll take you to the beach for sure mag-eenjoy ka dun”
“S-sa La union?!” pagtaas ng boses nito.
“Oo, bakit?”
“Can you do me a favor?”
“What is it?”
May dinukot naman ang binata sa kanyang bulsa at inabot ito.
“Can you take me to this place?”
