It was now morning in the Yamazawa household, and the reunited couple were waking up. Izuku yawned as he looked to his right, seeing his boyfriend still passed out. It didn't surprise him. They had already talked about the ex-hitman's insomnia, and quickly realized that the former stuntman's cuddles were the cure, proven correct when the two passed out while cuddling and slept for many hours.
Izuku carefully rolled out of the other's grip and grabbed his phone from the floor. He looked at the time. '8:37, huh. Time to wake up then.'
"Hey. Wake up." He called out softly, not wanting to face the wrath of a cranky Reborn. All he got were snores as a reply. 'Well. It will be his own fault.' Opening up Youtube on his phone, he typed in the search bar and clicked on the video he was looking for.
"Dog goes "woof"
Cat goes "meow"
Bird goes "tweet"
And mouse goes "squeak"
Cow goes "moo"
Frog goes "croak"
And the elephant goes "toot"
Ducks say "quack"
And fish go "blub"
And the seal goes "ow ow ow"
But there's one sound
That no one knows
What does the fox say?
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you"
Skull sang along with the lyrics of the familiar songs, knowing it would annoy Reborn. Just enough to wake him up though, he definitely didn't want to piss him off. That would be a bad idea. Very very bad... Mostly.
"Turn it off." The sleepy one whined, dragging out the 'o' in slight agony.
"No can dosville babydoll. It's 8:42 and I want to go on a date. So get your lazy ass up and go get ready." Izuku swiftly left the bedroom, leaving Hitoshi to get ready.
He walked down the hallway, glancing at the pictures of ErasureMic, their highschool years, cats, and Hitoshi on the wall. 'Is- is that a baby picture?! Oh my- He was so cute! Little baby feet and fluffy tufts of hair!' He snapped a picture with his phone and continued walking to the living room area, where he found Aizawa sitting on the couch.
"Hitoshi and I will be going on a date today. He is currently getting ready, we will leave when he is done. I don't know when we will be back, but I'm sure Toshi will let you know." Izuku smiled a smile that showed no argument. Something he always used on Verde to get him to eat when inventing. It worked, mostly.
"I'm ready so let's go. I'll text you when I will be back, Dad." Skull was snapped out of his reminscizing when he heard Reborn's voice. He turned his head slowly towards the other teen. Reborn was wearing an orange dress shirt, much like he did in his previous life. A soft blush filled Skull's face as he turned his head slightly, hoping no one would notice. "Um- We will have to stop at my house so I can quickly change. I also have something for you!"
"Really now?" He enquired.
"Mhm! You'll love it, trust me!"
"Hmm. Okay then, shall we go?" The slightly taller of the two held his arm out slightly jokingly for the more eccentric one to grab. "We shall." Skull linked his arm with Reborn, and they started making their way to Skull's home.
It was a quiet walk, both basking in the comfortable silence that lasted the whole way there. As if Mother Nature sensed the pair's happiness, the weather reflected such feelings. The sun shining brightly, the slight breeze, few clouds in sight. Truly the perfect day for a date. A slight air of suspense arised. Visible excitement was barley shown on the ex-hitman's nearly stoic face. "You mentioned a surprise?" He inquired.
"I did. But you will have to wait a few minutes." The teen who was a vibrant mix of green and violet responded. A soft laugh escaped his lips, amusement clear in his tone as they reached the first destination.
"Is your dad going to be there...?" Nervousness laced the question uncertainty.
"Pft- My mom will probably be home, but dad has work right now so I will just sneak in through my window and you can wait out here for me." Skull gracefully started climbing the tall tree placed next to what seemed to be his bedroom. Not one mistake was made as he climbed to the second story and jimmied the window open. While Reborn waited around outside trying to be patient, Skull was doing some important tasks.
The first thing Skull did after changing was go over to where he keeps his boxes placed neatly on a wall shelf. He grabs two familiar purple and yellow boxes and lets the familiars out. As expected, Oodako latched onto her favorite human, placing Leon on top of her person's head. Skull just laughed giddily at the familiar sign of affection. "Well, I've got a surprise for you two. Mostly for Leon, but let's go." With those words, he grabbed a backpack that contained a small built-in aquarium that the loving octopus loved.
Skull was very careful when climbing down the tree. He didn't want to spook the green reptile, who, when asked, shapeshifted into a box that was currently in the backpack.
"Hey. I'm all done." The former stuntman called out to the former hitman, gaining his attention.
"So," Shinso dragged out. "What's this surprise you were talking about?"
"Hold your non-existent horses, babe. I'm getting there. Now, close your eyes and open them when I say so." Reborn did as Skull instructed, closing his eyes and waiting. To make sure that Reborn was doing what he asked, Skull flipped him off to see if he would get a reaction, which would only happen if he didn't close his eyes. Once he was completely sure, he then opened his backpack and grabbed Leon-in-box-form. The reptile shook with excitement once it seemed to see, or more likely sense, Reborn.
"You can open them now."
The next chapter will be the date! Please give me ideas on where they should go and what they should do. Do you want them to run into someone? A problem to arise? ext.
