Hiriko is the son of Saito Izanagi, former leader of Kaze no Sutairu clan. After his father was killed in a mission to save his mother, Saito's brother adopted Hiriko and taught Traditional Izanagi Sword Style. His dream was to become the new leader of the Kaze no Sutairu clan and carry his father's legacy.

Hana is Saito's wife. She likes to collect flowers from gardens. One day, Saito realizes that Hana is sick after talking to a doctor, he was told that she has a incurable illness. Lacking the money he needed to save his wife, he decided to help his brother on a dangerous mission with a high amount of money after completion but Saito fails his mission and he supposedly dies. After several days later, Hana passed away.
