Fair lady I've stayed by your side since birth
Your mother charged me to watch over you
And since then my days are filled with such mirth
A rarity, just like a rose of blue
For you are kin of man and fairy both
And thus always denied a married life
But you found peace and joy within this grove
The koi fish pond where now, alone, you lie
Your porcelain finger stirs the deep blue depths
Aware of each small movement of the fronds
Such simple joy exceeds the joys of flesh
Your smile shows that all you need's this pond
Fair lady, I will never leave you be
For I'd be lonely if you had not me
