When we get off the plane a considerable number of hours later my heart flutters. I am almost reverent to be in the homeland of my favorite pastime, anime.
"You're exited aren't you. Weaboo." Cecilia teases me.
"You know it." I reply. Still in awe of the city of Tokyo. The four of us grab a cab and head to our rental apartment. When we get there we unpack our bags (Cecilia and I mainly shove our clothes into random drawers). Neither my mom nor Cecilia's mom feel like cooking so after freshening up we go out to a Japanese restaurant.
The waiter who not surprisingly, like the cab driver speaks english; pours us each a cup of green tea. We all end up ordering the most Americanized dishes on the menu. When we all finish our meals Cecilia and I's moms look at us like they have another surprise for us.
"So girls, we have another surprise for you." Cecilias' mom says.
"We know you both LOVE to read, so..." My mom says.
Cecilias' mom pulls something out of her purse and squeals "CARDS TO THE TOKYO CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY!!!"
Suddenly me and Cecilia begin to smile like maniacs. We hug, kiss, and thank our moms for the cards. We grab a cab home and Cecilia and I head to our room for the night.
"What are we gonna do tomorrow?" I inquire to myself.
"Why don't we go to the library tomorrow?" Cecilia suggests.
"BRILLIANT!!!!" I exclaim.
We ask our moms to wash our school uniforms and go to bed for a pleasant nights sleep.
