I woke up early because of the phone burning in my face. Kei didn't end the call at all. I thought he would end it right after I fall asleep, but it seems like he was watching over me. I'm having a pretty nice morning because of him.

I take the case off my phone to let it cool, turning to look at his phone every time I hear him groan or just murmur in his sleep. It's kind of cute.. he's just letting me see this side of him. It's making me happy. I feel like we're getting closer.

I place the phone on the table and let it stand as I try to get something to read. Kei's still asleep, and I don't want to wake him up so I'm reading. I'll let him sleep, and just listen to him sleep. He seems like he's extremely exhausted.

Hikari-san comes into the room, and I smile as I put the book aside for now to, well, talk to her. She checks on my IV bag, and it's not dripping anymore. She takes out a different bag and changes mine. I just watch Kei snore and turn around.

"Someone seems to be.. snoring." I smile and show him Kei. "You're on FaceTime." I nod. "I'm happy to see you all happy-go-lucky this early when you're in this state."

"He.. kept the call all night because.. I said I was afraid of sleeping." She smiles and places the tray on my table. "Oh.. food." I say rather loudly, hearing Kei groan in his sleep and Hikari-san shush me. "Sorry.."

"I will take the mask off for now so you can eat, then drink your meds." I nod and smile, waving my hand at her as she walks back out of the room.

"You're.... just watching me... sleep?" Oh, he's awake. He smiles and yawns. "Good morning.."

"Hello.. sorry, did I wake you up?" He shakes his head, and I smile and take a bite of my food. "Hey Kei.." He hums and yawns again. "Thank you for keeping the call on.. did you watch over me the entire night?"

"No. What am I, insane? Shortcake, I fell asleep shortly after you did... but you're welcome." I scrunch my nose in annoyance and take the meat into my mouth. "Too early for.. insults?"

"Apparently, yes but.. it just reminds me that you're Tsukishima Kei." I say, and he raises his brow. "I mean, the entire night--excuse me--the entire night you were talking.. nothing like you." I say, coughing in between words. 

"The call.. 7 hours. I've never done that before.. lucky you." I cough and smile after calming down. "You okay?"

"Kei, you don't have to panic every time I cough... It's just because my throat feels itchy, okay?" He furrows his brows, and I smile to reassure him. "It's just.. I've worried you enough.."
