|Thomas's pov|

"So Thomas where do you and your mom live?" Hemrione asks and I look over

"We've lived here all my life I grew up in Hogwarts during the school year and with my grandparents during the summer since my mom is a professor here." I say shocking my new friends

"Wow you must know all the secret passages." Ron says and I nod

"I can show you guys I know this castle like the back of my hand." I say and then I was bumped into and fell to the ground and Hermione helps me up "I'm used to it I get it my dad did horrible things." I say and Harry looked confused

"Who's your dad?" He asks and I looked over shocked what he didn't know who my dad was Tom riddle aka Lord Voldemort when I say riddle everyone automatically knows I'm that kid everyone fears

"Voldemort." I say and then Ron covers my mouth

"We don't say his name Thomas." He says scared and I frown

"I'm not scared of him my dads dead I am not scared of saying his name like everyone else, my mom says it all the time we aren't scared why should we be? Why should anyone? If we aren't scared he has nothing on us!" I say and Hermione was then interested in how my parents even got together

"Your parents how did they even get together to have you? I'm sorry I can't imagine you know who falling in love." Hermione asks and I sigh

"I'm not allowed to talk about it." I say and they looked confused by that but my mom goes by her last name she had before she got married so people don't know she's actually married to my dad and she doesn't want that

"Oh I see well I guess your family has lots of secrets." Rons says and I nod

"I can talk to snakes is that normal?" I ask and Harry looked over

"I can understand them like I've heard them talk?" Harry says and I nod

"Talking to snakes? You two are weird." Hermione says and I shrug

"Or maybe you both are the weird ones." Me and Harry say and Ron and Hermione shrugs

"No one in my family can speak to snakes either but I feel like I know what it's called but I can't remember!" Ron says and me and Harry shrug our shoulders then I had an idea

"Let's go ask my mom she's knows everything she's so smart she must know." I say and they nod

Thomas runs into your office and you looked confused "Mom why can me and Harry speak to snakes." Thomas says and you looked confused

"What? When could you speak to snakes excuse me? Why haven't you told me this before sweetheart?" You ask and he shrugs

"I thought it was normal now I'm finding out it's not." Thomas says and you sigh

"It's called parseltongue is the language of serpents it's a rare trait and Thomas you got it from your father, he spoke it I didn't know you got it from him so I never brought it up." You say and Thomas nods he liked knowing of the things he shared with his dad but was terrified everyday that he may become like him

"Thank you mom." Thomas says and they run out and you sigh

'I was scared that Thomas would become just like Tom so I tried everything to make sure he wouldn't go down on the same path I hope he doesn't, Tom always said he'd be just like him and I'm scared it'll be true and I don't want Tom to be right.'
