You are almost like diamonds to me,

Something I can't ever afford,

Far away and untouchable,

The thing I dream about each night.

You are almost like air to me,

In a way I can't live without you,

But never really appreciating your presence,

Until you're taken away and I'm gasping to survive.

You are almost like energy to me,

Filling me up with electric vibes,

Giving me strength when I needed it,

Lighting me up like the moon.

You are not mine to keep,

You're not hers or his,

You're nobody's property,

You're yours.
