Chapter 19

It was early in the morning when you woke up you felt miserable Techno was probably dead and there was like a 1% chance he wasn't but you dudnt want to think about that you got up from the top of ond of the tents you had been lying on when you got off it you heard someone shout "Y/N are you ok what happened" you looked up and saw your brother and George running towards you "did you not hear what happened" I said my voice was croaky and sounded dead "umm what happened to what" he said confused "Techno... " you whispered as a wave of fresh tears tumbled down your cheeks "oh that..." your brother said grimly while George came over and hugged you "I'm sorry to annoy you right now it's just Tommy isn't here but you are so I thought you might have have known where he went" he said staring at you

He was clearly studying your reaction to see if you would give away if you knew where Tommy was you had prepared for this so you immediately got to acting "Tommy...?" you whispered as you tried to look as depressed as possible thinking about Techno even sent a few more tears cascading down "yeah have you seen him he was meant to be here he isn't allowed to leave here during exile" all of a sudden you fell forward almost hitting the ground but getting caught by Dream at that last second you started sobbing your eyes out and repeating "it's my fault, it's my fault, it's all my fault" over and over again your brother was starting to get worried "N/N what happened" he said calmly trying to get a proper answer you internally smiled at how well this was going

you pointed a shaky finger to a big cobblestone tower that you had built the day before Dream immediately knew what had happened although you knew that he thought Tommy had been lying to you and just left it took George a few minutes but all of a sudden he said worriedly "y-you don't think he would actually d-do that do you?" he asked Dream as he turned around "I don't know but we should go alert Tubbo and the rest of L'Manberg and they can come here with us tomorrow to examine the scene are you coming with us Y/N" he said turning to you awaiting your answer "I-I think I'm gonna stay here for a bit then teleport to me and.... I mean my house" you finished fixing your mistake as a single tear rolled down your cheek "alright well leave you alone for a bit to give you some time to yourself but you know where we are if you want to stay with us for a bit" he said smiling you gave a small smile in return and watched as they walked away

As soon as they were out of your line of sight you booked it to the trapdoor to check on Tommy his legs would be fully healed by now thanks to the potions as you quietly walked down the stairs you were once again thinking about offering Tommy to come live with you in your house and decided that's what you would do soon enough you reached the end of the steps and walked into the small room and immediately panicked Tommy was nowhere to be seen and his bed was empty "don't move a muscle or I will fucking end you" a voice from behind said you knew immediately who it was as the voice was clearly terrified but tried to sound brave "Tommy your awake" you squealed turning around and hugging him he immediately dropped the sword he had and hugged back realising who it was as you pulled away you saw he was crying through his bandages on his eyes but he was also smiling "what's wrong" you asked worriedly

"I haven't seen any of my friends in months you don't understand how nice it is to see you and God knows the last time I was hugged" he said as he wiped away his tears still smiling like crazy then he just broke down and started hugging you again clinging to you like you would disappear any second "please tell me this isn't another hallucination he has tortured me for months he manipulated me everyone stopped caring I tried to end it Y/N they fucking drove me to almost commit suicide so if your not real I don't want to stop hallucinating because I have seen some fucking shit with these hallucinations" he sounded so broken and depressed he was sobbing uncontrollably "Tommy I'm not going anywhere trust me and I am going to get you out of here your coming to live with me" you said matter of factly implying that he had no choice he looked up at you his eyes glowing in excitement "really!?!" he said as he finally let go of you

"yes really we can go now if you would like I can teleport us out of here without being seen" you said as you extended your hand "yes of course I don't wanna be here any longer than I have to be" he said as he grabbed your hand eagerly "alright then" you said equally as eager you focused your mind on a mental picture of your house you closed your eyes when you saw green and opened them appearing in your house "woah this is your house its really nice" he said as he looked around in awe "yeah me and Techno built it when we first got here" you said not realising you had mentioned Techno's name "oh yeah where is he" Tommy asked curiously as he turned around to face you "I don't know if I should tell you yet you won't take it well" you said grimly as you went down a ladder to make a room for Tommy "why what happened please tell me" Tommy pleaded you knew he wasn't going to stop so you had to tell him

"well um Techno is d-dead there was a group of people that came here yesterday and they captured him he told me to run and my teleportation hadn't been working so I had to go i saw him later but I couldn't do anything and then later I found out from Ranboo that he didn't manage to escape" you had started the story strong but ended it with tears falling from your eyes like a waterfall you looked up and Tommy was crying just as much "no no that's not true remember Technoblade never dies he's too strong for that" he said laughing weirdly trying to lie to himself but when he looked at my face stained with tears he must have realised that I wasn't lying as he dropped to the ground on the bed I had just placed for him in his new room he started silently crying

I stood up and sat down beside him rubbing his back to try calm him down eventually he just hugged me and I hugged back we stayed like that for a bit each of us needing comfort having just lost someone extremely important to us a few hours later he started complaining about a pain in his back "Tommy how much do you remember from before the explosion" I asked nervous about having to tell him about his wings "everything" he said coldly "can you tell me everything he did before the explosion if you can" you asked as he stared off into space "sure but I'm only saying this stuff once" he mumbled as he began to tell me

----------Flashback----------
Tommy's pov

As I was adding a few blocks to some of the broken down buildings I saw a message that made me uneasy"Dream has joined the game" I was nervous but I continued building trying to ignore the uneasy feeling I had and continued building I wanted to get to a high to reach place so I made sure no one was watching and unbuckled my cape opening my wings and flying up to place a block on the ledge as I flew down I heard something that made my blood run cold "I thought I told you not to keep secrets from me are we not friends" Dreams cold malicious voice came from behind me "what do you want" I said turning around to him I was trying to act brave but it was obvious I was scared "come here for a second you know what will happen if you don't" he said in a fake sweet voice

"fine" I mumbled as I hesitantly walked over to him "turn around" he said in that fake voice again I didn't know what he wanted maybe to look at my wings so I turned around "spread your wings" I was getting worried now but I spread my wings and it was quite and peaceful for a few seconds then he grabbed my wings and pulled hard yanking them along with some of my skin off i screamed in agony and fell to the ground crying uncontrollably I couldn't get up I was in that much pain I watched as he placed TNT around me I didn't even try to get up I knew I couldn't I just closed my eyes and waited for the impact the last thing I remember is my whole body feeling like I was burning and then I kept slipping in and out of consciousness and then when I knew I was almost dead I used the shell and I don't remember anything after that"

----------Flashback Over----------

He finished looking up at me with anger "don't worry you will get your revenge I don't know when or how but what he did will not go unpunished" you said coldly you didn't care if he was your brother you are completely ashamed that someone you called your brother would do that to a 16 year old truly psychopathic "thanks Y/N you really helped me today I don't know what I would do without you and I hate to be rude but I need sleep" he said laughing "ok ok I can take a hint rest well Tom hopefully we both feel better in the morning" you said as you dimmed the torch in his room uttered one last goodnight as he pulled the soft covers over himself and then you climbed up the ladder and kept going till you got your and Techno's room it felt empty with just you in it so you opted for the couch and went back down the ladder you got a blanket and laid down on the couch next to the fire and closed your eyes drifting off to a nightmare filled sleep once again
