Extended Summary

In the forgotten town of Carp, Texas there was only three means to getting out. Either A, your parents made enough money to send you away to college or wherever you wanted to go. B, you worked your ass off day in and day out. Or C, you played Panic; an adrenaline-fueled game where players risked their lives for a chance to win fifty-thousand dollars.

When it came to graduating senior, Wren Anderson, she was stowed somewhere in between the former of the three. Her dad had a secure job as a mechanic, and even the eighteen year old herself worked part-time at the local general store. Therefore, she didn't technically need Panic; but everyone else was playing, so she figured why the hell not. Wren knew her competition well enough, or so she had thought, until Dodge Mason, the mysterious and recluse new kid decided to jump from the high point during initiation; leaving her ultimately starstruck, and wanting to know more about the boy.

Alliances form as the game goes on, unearthing secrets and shattering friendships, essentially leaving the players to realize that what started out as a simple game, had long since been warped into something far darker.

Side Note

I know the Panic fandom is still kinda small, but I couldn't resist, especially when I saw that no one had written about Carp's resident loner boy yet. (Fun fact: I had such a hard time choosing between Ray or Dodge for this book) Anyway, this is one hundred percent an impulse decision that I put together in like three days so just bear with me when it comes to Wren's storyline.

The first chapter should be up within the next day or so, but as always, thanks in advance for giving the story a chance, and never be afraid to let me know what you guys are thinking.
