Hiiiii (I already posted this and the next few chapters in my random book so if you read that you dont need to reread if you dont want to. all the ones i already posted with have a * in the title)
So I came up with this a while ago

basically from the waist up, they look human and from the waist down they look like their animal
like a mermaid
duh Melon thats an easy way to say it
Here are the characters u-u
Elijah is an almost blind great white shark
when they were 5, He and Ethan were both taken illegally by a company and kept in a swimming pool
ethan had been sold and was later realsed in a different part of the ocean
yep :)
With the small living space, Elijah often ran into the walls and the chlorine affected him a l o t causing him to go almost completely blind
he can still see a little but relies on the others to guide him
He's the most optimistic of the group
he loves to swim around (otherwise he'd die :) yeah if sharks stop moving for longer than 15 mintues they cant breathe and d i e) and he likes to try to make friends with other fish but doesn't realize that hes a shark and gets very upset when they swim away
he has his dorsal fin on his back.
oh also, whenever he's stressed or something like that, Sub flips him upside down to calm him (or pets him like a dog)
its called tonic immobility
here a thing about it from google:
'Some sharks go into tonic immobility when they are turned upside down. ... During tonic immobility, the dorsal fin(s) straighten, and both breathing and muscle contractions become more steady and relaxed'
and he has gills on his neck
he has two remora fish that follow him
Scary (cause it tried to clean his teeth once and scared him)
and Soap
Sub is a very very shy octopus
he likes staying low to the ocean floor mainly because of his past
he had been taken by a food service. They'd cut off his tentacles and use them for food (its not considered cannibalism in this world)
he was kept in a small container most of the time
once his tentacle grew back, they were cut off again
repeat until he's 7
from then on he stayed low
he found Elijah (when they were 16) aimlessly swimming in the water
at first, he was scared of Elijah (obviously) but after realizing that he was blind, he helped him
they both stay by each other 24/7
if sub gets scared..uh..well hes an octopus sooooo
he can also change color to blend in
Alex is a dolphin
he was born and raised in an aquarium
but it wasnt a good aquarium
his parents wanted Alex to live in the ocean, so Alex faked being sick/dead
the employees quickly removed Alex from the tank and just threw him in the ocean so they didn't need to deal with him, just as planned ;)
many pods of dolphins had tried to take him in, but he didn't fit in very well and didnt like how the other dolphins were
most of them were very full of themselves or cocky
he eventually came across Elijah and Sub
Sub was very nervous around Alex at first, since dolphins have been known to kill sharks but they eventually all became friends
Alex is kinda the protector of the group
hes constantly making sure everyones ok
he also, like a dolphin, needs to swim up to the surface
but hes very bad at timing
not like that- wait he doesn't drown
he'll start a conversation, randomly swim up, and contiue like nothing happened when he comes back down
he also can do that thing where dolphins leap out of the water and Elijah tries to do it as well yeah
that doesnt end well
oh and he has a blowhole on his back Piper dont you dare make that sexual-
moving on

He normal is moving the...idk what its called

he has to move that cause it makes it hard to see
he also gets very emotional if he stings someone or something
he has control over it but sometimes does it by acciedent
his life is kinda normal
he was just bullied as a kid
people called him brainless since he was a jellyfish
hes very caring for the others and is very soft spoken
he tends to just float around colecting things, normally with Elijah
