Where I went

Stationary I ne’er closed my eyes.

My soul flew but not o’er the border.

Oh deep beneath the skin I am in

In slow but perfect running order

A constant glow so bright within

Will blaze up once again

Every atom dances free in space, none left behind

I cannot swim against the rain.

But did jump into the dream

You created for me there

What you asked gave me the directions

To build my cloud castle of the air.

Ah do not wait all day

Don’t await an answer from me

I’m not strong anymore

Here is where I will always be

Don’t worry about me in your life

I cannot give that sign

Before you reach that last demanding second

Or despair of the line

My meek soul had shied away

The request too great that day

My confidence met its mortal demise

When you asked two epic lines it opened my eyes.
