Throughout their entire time at Hogwarts, it was a known fact that Adeline Lupin hated James Potter. And James Potter hated Adeline Lupin. It was just fact and no one questioned it.
People would often wonder why the two Gryffindors had such a hatred for each other but it had gone on for so long that it seemed natural at this point. In hindsight it was strange that these two could possess such anger, they seemed happy and cheerful people when they weren't in each other's company.
