Chapter 9- The Goblet of Fire

Marigolds POV

After I had rested, Severus and I proceeded to the Great Hall. As we walked hand in hand, many students smiled and said their hellos. Once we made it to the Great Hall, we took out place up behind Albus. After all the students had arrived and settled in their sections, Albus began his speech. We listened as he spoke of the Tri- Wizard Tournament and Introduced the visiting schools.

As Severus and I stand hand in hand, we watch as the delegates from Beauxbatons come through the doors led by Madame Maxime. Many of the male students are in awe of the beauty of the girls. As they glide down the aisle they stop and butterflies float from them. It was a beautiful entrance. 

Then Durmstrang Institute was announced. Their entrance was grand as well, with Gymnastics and a flaming dragon, all led by their Headmaster Igor Karkaroff and Victor Krum.I saw the girls react to the Durmstrang boys as the the male students reacted to the Beauxbatons girls. It would be an interesting mingling of the schools.

Once Albus unveiled the Goblet of Fire and went over the rules, he dismissed everyone to get acquainted. There were refreshments and everyone seemed to be enthusiastic. Severus and I went with Albus to put the Goblet in its place in the entrance hall, so the eligible contestants could put their name in. 

Filch and Hagrid would keep watch during the night. So Severus and I retired to our quarters, As I lay there in bed next to Severus, I watched as he read a students paper. I loved the way he furrowed his brow when he was annoyed. He was so handsome, the sigh when he discovered a misspelled word brought a smile to my face. As he got to the last paper, he finally noticed me watching him. He looked at me with the most loving expression.

"How long have you been watching me" he asked as he caressed my cheek.

"For about twenty three years" I said with a smile.

He put the last paper over on the side table and brought me into his arms. The feel of his lips across my neck and the tickle of his breath in my ear.  I succumbed to his kisses, I was a  puppet in his hands. I loved the feel of his hands on my bare flesh, he brought me to the peak of ecstasy time and time again until we both climaxed together. 

As he lay with his head on my chest, my hands playing with his long hair. I was content, he brought peace to my troubled mind.  His presence alone was enough to calm me. As his head raised to look at me, my hand caressing his lips, his mind filled with overwhelming love. He brought me over onto him as he moved to his back, and we fell asleep together, wrapped in each others arms.

SNAPES POV

I awoke to the smell of her perfume, she was still asleep next to me with her head laying on my chest. My hand was stroking her soft auburn hair and my other hand was over hers. I watched her sleep, only slightly moving as she was breathing and dreaming..

Last night replayed in my head, her soft skin and her welcoming embrace, I loved her so much and I knew she loved me. Making love to her got better every time. Her presence alone was enough to excite me. We had a few hours till we needed to take over for Filch and Hagrid, guarding the Goblet of Fire.

I lay there exhilarated by her presence. As she stirred, I felt her head move and look at me. "Morning baby" she said with a smile.

How I loved hearing her speak to me like that. I never thought I would be this in love, although I cared  and loved Lily, it wasn't like this. I would do anything for her, I loved so deeply.

"And I would do anything for you too, my love" she said. 

Nothing was hidden from her, and I didn't care. I wanted her to know exactly how I felt about her. I brought her up to me, my lips meet hers. Before I knew it we were making love again. The feel of her against me, the soft moan she lets out in my ear. She brought me to heaven with every stroke, As we succumbed to our desire, I heard her think to me.

"I love you so much Severus" her voice echoed in my head. As our passion reached its climax her body fell onto mine. A look of sheer elation on her face, her body glistened with sweat. Her sweet smell intoxicated me. 

We rested for a few minutes and then got up and showered together. I loved watching her wash her long hair. She moved with a rhythm that was like a waltz. As we dried off, she took her hand and waved it over her hair and it was dry in an instant. She did the same to mine and we dressed and made our way down to the entrance hall to spell Filch and Hagrid of their watch.

As we arrived we caught sight of a few Durmstrang students putting their name in the goblet. I watched as Marigold went over to the goblet to make sure no one had tampered with it. Her hand waved over the goblet and she turned and smiled. "No problems during the night?"She asked.

"No, it was quiet except for a few students coming to put their name in" Hagrid said. 

"Well your free to go, thank you" I said to them both.

I guided Marigold over to a bench and we sat down together. We watched as many students passed by on their way to breakfast. Many saying their hellos to us or stopping to chat with us about the next dueling club meeting. 

She was at her element with the students, so caring and loving toward them all. They loved and respected her. I knew she would be a wonderful mother when we had a child,, just by watching how she interacted with the students. 

After a few minutes of quiet Harry and his friends came by. Harry hugged and kissed her on the cheek. He was so happy to have a part of his mother so close, they spent hours talking about when he was a baby and she shared every memory with him through her gift. It was amazing how devoted he became to her, she was a part of the mother he missed. 

Once Harry and his friends departed, she grasped my hand and said "I love spending time with him, he is such a wonderful young man"

"Yes, he is growing to be a good person because of you" I said. Harry and my relationship had improved over the past few months. I found he was more like his mother and aunt then like his father. 

In a few hours Sirius and Remus would be taking over for us so we could eat and meet with our dueling club. I knew she looked forward to the dueling club, today we were teaching the Patronus  charm.  

But for now we sat and guarded the Goblet of Fire together. For tonight the three champions would be named and the Tri-Wizard Tournament would begin.
