Rex and the Mystery Inc. gang meet a horror writer who invites them to go back to his hometown for the Autumn Fest, where they learn that one of the writers ancestors was a witch who is apparently haunting the city.

Everyone started unbuckling their seatbelts franticallyas the wind picked up again.
"Dreadful darkness, hear my cry. Bring back one who cannot die." Ben recites as the book began sparking and a vortex slowly forms in the sky
Everyone got out of the Mystery Machine in a hurry.
"Let the witch who perished here, LIVE AGAIN, and re-appear!!" Ben recited
Everyone got flung by the shaking ground as lightning struck, Shaggy and Scooby getting flung a different direction from Fred, Velma, Rex, and Daphne. As the vortex began spiraling more, Ben cackled manically.
Scooby and Shaggy tried to get up again but got stuck in a wooden cart wheel part.
After a while, some dust started spinning in the air forming a figure. After a while, the dust settled a little revealing a ghost of a woman. This was the real ghost of Sarah Ravencroft.

"In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined such an imposing creature." Ben said with amazement
"Thank thee. Thou cans't not know what my bondage hath been like. Who are thou?" Sarah asks
"Ben Ravencroft. Your decadent. From the modern world." Ben answers.
"Modern?" Sarah scoffs looking around. "Not much seems to have changed."
"Please, don't hurt us!" The mayor pleads
"The same pathetic peasants, grobbeling for their puny lives." Sarah said looking around
"Sarah, I-" Ben started before Sarah slapped his hand "I want to become more powerful, like you!"
Sarah laughed and comments, "Thou jist!"
"I serve no one! Leastwise a worm like thee." Sarah said. "Thou hast freed me, so I can punish the world for my long imprisonment"
Sarah's magic she sent out took the form of a green mist,, slowly killing each plant and bit of wood it came across.
"I shall create an era of darkness over this land!" Sarah says as she cackles
The mist was slowly approaching Shaggy and Scooby.
"L-Like, we're goners, Scoob!" Shaggy stutters
Then, Rex used us nanites to make a flying build and he rushed over, grabbed Scooby and Shaggy, and got them out of the way, busting the wooden wheel part that was stuck on the two.
"This isn't what I invisioned! We were supposed to rule the world, together! Not destroy it!" Ben said as his whole plan wasn't going how he planned it
"I care not for thy wins. Cross my path, and I shall destroy thee along with thy world!" Sarah said in a booming voice
"But I have the book! And I will return you back into the book!" Ben said as he opened the spellbook. "Ancient evil get the hense, only good can recompense-"
