I remember it like it was yesterday... It was a Friday morning in the spring semester. The trees were just starting to sprout leaves, and the flowers were slowly starting to bloom. The birds began to chirp happily again as the temperature topped out around 73 degrees daily. It was a beautiful morning.  Before I hopped out of bed and began my morning routine, I remembered I had gotten excused from all of my classes for the day because I pulled a couple of strings with my connections in the Athletics Department. Therefore, I had a three-day weekend. As I sat in my dorm room, I stared outside my window into the courtyard below, and I decided to visit Tyrese in Lexington, Kentucky. I threw on a matching Navy blue and orange tracksuit, and a pair of Tennis Shoes grabbed my keys and proceeded to walk to my car parked across the street in the parking deck. I timed everything out just right; Tyrese should be done with his classes once I complete the seven-hour trip to Lexington. But there was one catch: I planned to surprise him; therefore, I did not let anyone know I was heading up to Kentucky to see my boyfriend. Before I left, I asked the ancestors to keep me safe and to have a smooth ride up to Kentucky. During the drive-up, I had butterflies in my stomach the entire trip. I was ready to hold onto my baby and to hold him, kiss him and make love to him the entire weekend. I was ready to feel the euphoric sensation of simply having Tyrese in my presence. I was crazy about him, and the feeling was mutual between us. But I guess all good things must come to an end.  The relationship Tyrese and I had gone to shit the second I arrived in Lexington on that Friday afternoon in the spring...
