Dance In The Rain

20. Florida

  I opened my eye's from the sound of Payphone blaring out of my alarm clock it was 5:30 am we had to catch our flight at 7:30. GREAT! 2 hours to get ready, I starred at the ceiling just looking at the outline of it, I sighed today is the day we leave for star power, I had a few last minute things to pack before we left, I flung my legs over my bed hauling myself to get up I stumbled to my washroom and stripped down and hopped into the shower , I scrubbed all over my sore muscles from practice yesterday , as I got out I hauled on some Spandex leggings and a blue crop top



I pulled my hair up into a pony tail and grabbed my suitcases to see I had everything , I placed my costume carefully in the bag as I checked over everything, I closed my suitcases as I hauled them downstairs we were all meeting at Kelly's house because she had 2 vans that would fit everyone,

"MOM!" I sang out looking around for her no answer, "Hello?" I repeated again,

"Faye Im in the kitchen" Mom called out to me, I sighed as I headed into the kitchen to see Mom Dad Chloe and even little Clara staring at me, I was a bit confused by this,

"What are you looking at" I asked confused, As I took a seat next to Chloe at the island in the kitchen , Mom took a deep breath

"Faye you got accepted into Julliard's School of Dance" she exclaimed, I looked at her wide eyed , I had auditioned for Julliard back in October it was now June ,

"W-W-What?" I asked stammering over my words, I couldn't have gotten accepted there were so many girls there, the only thing is Brandon didn't know and how would I tell him Im leaving to go to Julliard for the next four years of dance,

"Faye you got accepted for four years everything paid for sweetie" Dad replied, I sighed as I nodded I was overly excited to start college in September but I couldn't just up and leave my family and friends and go to New York, I got up from my chair

"I can't wait" I said with as much excitement as I could let out , My parents smiled at me as Dad helped me with my bags to my car ,

"Be safe Pumpkin" Dad said kissing my forehead and hugging me tightly I nodded as he let go, as I got in the passenger side of the car as my Mom pulled out of the drive way and drove to Kelly's , the car ride was silent both Mom and Chloe knew I was upset about having to leave everyone for Julliard but in the end it would be worth it, we finally reached Kelly's after 15 minutes of driving, I got out of my car to be greeted by Brandon , I smiled weakly as he helped me with my bag's Abby knows about me getting accepted, I walked into Kelly's house and everyone was chatting and joking , I sighed as Brandon wrapped his arm around me,

"Everything okay Faye?" Brandon asked concern, I cleared my throat but when I went to talk Abby cut me off,

"Faye would you like to announce your big news to everyone" she said excitedly I smiled as I nodded looking at everyone , I stopped a bit then began to speak

"I got accepted to Julliard" I said smiling a bit but looking at Brandon with concern , he just starred at me with shock and confusion on his face, I sighed as everyone congratulated me and gave me hugs, it was now 6:35 and we had to check in and get everything ready for our flight , we all headed outside and piled into the vans me Brooke Brandon sat in the back of one van , Brooke was rambling on about her grade 8 Grad but Brandon didnt speak to me at all in the car Nia and Paige were in our car as well and Kelly and Holly were in the front talking about this competition and all the good looking men in Florida, I poked Brandons arm he looked at me and looked back out the window I sighed , Why is he angry? I cant control if I get accepted or not?

"We're here" Kelly exclaimed as we got to the airport I jumped out of the Van and grabbed my carry on case as we got checked in and boarded the plane I sat next to the window as Brandon sat next to me still not speaking a single word to me, I sighed as I stretched out looking out the window , I heard someone speak to me softly

"You excited for Julliard" Brandon asked whispering in my ear and looking out the window with me, I sighed and nodded,

"I just don't want to leave you" I said my voice cracking a little , Brandon sighed as he kissed my ear softly and wrapped his arm's around me ,

"You'll be fine" he said cooing me, I nodded as I cuddled into him and waited for us to reach Florida,

The plane ride took about 5 hours or so it was pretty good weather to fly in, I was awoken to cameras clicking and flashing I opened one eye to see Brooke and Chloe giggling with their phones , I groaned as I cuddled into Brandon he chuckled,

"Faye time to get up we're landing now" Brooke stated I sighed as I hauled myself up and Brandon woke up too, I looked out my window and seen we just landed,

"Welcome to Florida Faye" Brandon said kissing my cheek, I would like it here but Id like it more if we won at Star Power,

Me and Brooke were in our room , everyone had to have partners for their rooms , Brooke's brother Josh came along with us so him and Brandon shared a room together , we spent the whole day shopping and exploring Florida but in a few days it would be the day of the competition , Brandon wanted me to meet him for a walk on the beach so I got ready Brooke helped me pick out my outfit ,I put on a Blue lace dress with a brown belt some Blue toms, I put in some Diamond earrings and a matching bracelet. I left my hair its natural Black waviness,


I heard someone knocking at the door I quickly opened it and saw Brandon was all dressed up, he had black and white Nikes on with some blue jeans and a blue jean shirt on, I smiled he looked adorable but quite sexy as well, this was the first time in a while we went out together I smiled as he took my hand and guided me outside of the hotel and we walked down a few steps which led to a beach,

"Finally some Faydon time" Brandon chuckled, I laughed a bit and nodded

"Faydon? where do people come up with these names" I joked Brandon shrugged as we sat down on the sand and cuddled each other tightly ,

"New York isn't that far away Faye, only 6 hours to drive" Brandon said resting his chin on my shoulder as we watched the waves crash against the sandy shore , I sighed as I nodded,

"I know, its just hard to think in a few weeks we'll be graduated and I'll be going to Julliard for the next four years without you or the girls, away from my parents ," I replied my voice cracking and tears streaming down my face, Brandon held me close and comforted me,

"We'll always be here for you Faye I promise" Brandon said kissing me softly and helping me up ,












"I promise" he reassured me .
