I shuffle my feet from side to side. I didn't think that Fandom University would take forever for initiation.
"Name?"
"Natalie Kirstein." I mutter.
"Age?"
"Nineteen."
"Main fandom?"
I felt my brain stop for a second. I was plainly multifandom- I couldn't choose just one main fandom— I was active in them all. Doctor Who, Anime, The Hunger Games, Big Hero 6, The Fault In Our Stars, 5SOS, Fall Out Boy, YouTube— you name it!
"Uh . . . Anime!" I quickly answer.
He looks down at his paper, and scribbles something down.
"Side fandoms?"
Oh my Freckled Jesus.
"Doctor Who . . . Bands . . . Marvel . . . The Hunger Games . . . The Walking Dead . . . Sherlock . . . Big Hero 6 . . . The Fault In Our Stars . . . YouTube . . . Uh . . . Video Game High School . . . A lot more, probably."
He took off his glasses and rubbed the top of his nose.
"Alright . . . Welcome to Fandom University Natalie, here's your room key, and your schedule. Oh, and you'll be sharing your room with three others. Bye now!"
"Wha-" I try to start, but am shoved out the door before I could ask anything.
I look at the number on my key. Two twenty one, second floor.
That subtle Sherlock reference though. Hopefully at least one of them are anime fans . . .
