Headcanon - Bad is a soul sand demon
Soul sand demons eat players nothing else will sustain them, except warped fungus, But they have to eat a shit ton and a good chunk of them are deathly allergic, those ones eat players
The ones who eat the fungus just trade with players and only eat the fungus as to not scare their human friends. And only the player eating ones leave the nether if food supply is low.
Idk its just a weird thought I had.
Phil totally trades with them and Techno is wary of Bad after him and Phil had a run in with the meat eating demons .
