Vince's POV:
When Becky comes back onto the bus with Nikki on one side of her and one of his basses on the other, I can't help but think about them as....a couple. Of course, I won't mention this to Nikki in front of her, not because it would be calling him out (I'd love to watch him squirm) but because the poor chick probably can't even figure it out for herself. Her, I like.
Which is exactly why Nikki needs to stay away from her. He's a bad influence, and she's an innocent girl who still has her flower. The two of them clash like black and white, which is why it's so odd that he's taken such a particular liking to her. Then again, it's not like I blame him. She has an odd flair about her, and she's hot as hell. The way that her hair naturally goes from almost blonde to dark brown and sits in those little waves that are real short up front and go all of the way down to her ass in the back, the way that she wears just the right amount of makeup (it compliments her, but is hardly noticeable at all), and her odd wardrobe of wildly short cutoffs with a tee-shirt, usually bearing the name and image of a band that I'd never even heard of, it all just goes so perfectly for her.
I'd spend a hot ten seconds with her if Nikki would leave her alone.
"Why do you have that?" Tommy asks Becky, gesturing to the bass. "Is the show extra early today?"
"Oh, it's mine now," She explains, bringing it with her to the bunk which she would be sleeping on.
When she disappears for the moment, Tommy turns on Nikki. "What the fuck, man?!
"What are you talking about?"
"Just fuck her and be done with it 'cuz you're drivin' me insane!"
"You know she's staying with us."
"But why does she have to? None of us get to bring our girls on tour."
"She's not my girl. She's made that point very, very clear." He runs his fingers through his hair.
"I thought you were taking her out on a date," Mick reminds him.
A silence falls over the bus. When Becky returns, she looks at all of us not looking at each other. "What happened?" She continues to look between all of us for a response.
Mick finally speaks up. "They're jealous of Nikki because you're hot. And Nikki can't bed you, which bothers him."
Her mouth forms a little 'o,' but she says nothing more. "I didn't say anything," I speak up.
"Vinny, you were thinking it too," Tommy contradicts me.
"I just can't believe it. You guys are my idols, it's crazy to even see you in your prime, but the fact that you even find me attractive just....blows me away." She bites her lip. Then she leaves. No one follows her.
"She's from a different time period," Nikki begins.
"Nikki, she's not-" I start.
"No!" He cuts me off. "She really is. She's got a weird black thing that has a screen like a television, and she showed me when I die, and how I die. The way she dresses, the way she talks about her dad, it's all.... She's not from this time period. I don't know how she came here, and I don't know why she did, but she's really from the future."
Tommy's still skeptical. "Prove it."
Nikki does. He reveals from his pocket the black thing with the screen. It takes him a few moments to find something on it, but he does. "On December 8th, 1984, Vince will kill Razzle, the drummer from Hanoi Rocks, in an intoxicated accident, and will be charged with drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter," He says. And the he shows us all.
"But that's from the future, it's not set in stone," I try to contradict.
"But it's her past, so it kinda is," Nikki goes on. "And she knows how I manage to kill myself twice, too. And I'll die again a third time when my clock runs out."
Mick clears his throat. "Wow," He says.
"She can tell us how to stop it," Tommy suggests. "She could save us."
"No, she can't. She said herself, you can't mess with the past. Our futures would be different. She might not exist, or one of us might not end up alive."
After Nikki thoroughly terrified us, I kind of let myself forget about it for a while. I know that he's probably right about Becky. (She is a little off, after all.) I will not let that stop me from telling him the things I want to say though. So that night, before the partying begins, I pull Nikki aside.
"Don't ruin her," I warn him.
"What're you-?"
"You know what I'm talking about."
"I really don't."
"You're gonna fuckin' ruin Becky, and you know it."
"How am I gonna ruin her?"
"By being the usual angsty Nikki that you always are. She's too perfect to be infected like that."
"What do you know?" He crosses his arms. "Let her decide who she wants to ruin her, because you know that you would too."
"Not as much as you."
"Why's that?"
I hold my breath, trying to think up an answer that he couldn't contradict. "Because she likes you. She won't be defensive if she trusts you, despite not even knowing who you really are. She'll let you in, and you'll stab her in the back."
"And when I do, you'll be there to comfort her with your ten seconds," He says sarcastically. "You should want me to hurt her."
"This isn't about a sexual competition, Nikki!"
"Then what is it about? Because within the first three minutes of meeting her, you already had her bedded in your head. And the second I drove her away from you, I could see that pissed off expression you wear every time people don't pick you first."
"Just fucking forget it then, you aren't gonna listen to me no matter what I say." I jab my finger into his chest. "And don't you dare fall for her, either. She's from the future, you moron!"
"I'm not-"
"Not yet, you're not."
