It was a sickly warm day today in Gotham compared to the usual cool and fairly mild weather we get. I walk down the street listening to the latest news by Vesper Fairchild, in full honesty she is a major guilty pleasure of mine. I think of my old friend Kate and how she's doing. Especially after we lost contact after graduating Point Rock together. She was my best friend and I was one of hers. The other was her twin as Kate had told me the two sisters had been through so much. I had always admired their bond. My brother Tommy and I despite the near twenty year gap between us had never been fully close. Especially with his obsession with his now ex best friend Bruce Wayne. Freaking Bruce Wayne of everyone in Gotham. Not that I have anything against the man. I had always felt like he was so mysterious. Like what was so about him that drove my curiosity? Why'd he leave Gotham? I ask myself so many questions as I make myself walk to a familiar brunette who was at the bar. I couldn't quite place it. "Bit early for a drink?" I try to flirt. The laugh was familiar and gentle. One that I knew well and thankfully it wasn't Tommy's.
