You made your way to the academy grounds, taking long strides as you tied your hair up in a high ponytail.
Those around you stopped for a moment to stare at your beauty, but you merely brushed them off, continuing your way there.
Your footsteps sounded on the sandy ground, your bright amber eyes staring at nothing in particular.
Your fingers played with your flute you always carried around, taping on the wood as if you were playing it.
Your lips hummed a tune you created while playing the flute, your melodious voice turning the seemingly dreadful song to one of such sweetness.
Your calming aura left those nearby in a state of trance, the scent of flowers lingering at where you previously passed before dispating into the air.
You weren't really looking forward to this day, it wouldn't really play a big part in your life either, especially if you just continued to keep quiet.
You were an orphan, and almost everyone in the village knew that.
A child abandoned at birth, with no traces of their parents at all.
It was quite a rare thing, especially in these days where people juts seem to have the best life ever thinking that there wasn't a chance of the fifth shinobi war with Naruto and friends here.
So to them, it was pitiful, such a child growing through a lonely life.
But to you, it perhaps wouldn't even play a big part or make a big change of the way you were now anyways.
Your eyes found its way to the hokage wall, the seven faces carved there in all glory.
To you it seemed dumb, why would one even one to be a ninja anyways?
Especially now.
With so much technology included, even a civilian with no born talent could kill a ninja with some technology.
If it were the past, you would have taken a second look. Things were less complicated and less brain-intensive.
Although technology also showed how much the nations have moved on and progressed, its also happening at a rate of losing one's past and tradition.
But perhaps, it was just you with a different mindset again.
Or maybe this was why you didn't get along with kids your age.
And that was also one of the reason why you had to go to the academy.
The sixth hokage suggested to the seventh hokage to let, or technically force you to attend the academy in chances of making friends and walking down the right path as a ninja.
He knew you had talent that you didn't show off.
You walked into the academy grounds, making no sound as you stood at the back behind everyone else.
The teachers then slowly started taking the attendance, wasting a whole lot of time.
"Boruto Uzumaki."
No one replied.
"Boruto Uzumaki?"
Whispers sounded, gossiping about how the hokage's son was so irresponsible and such.
It was stupid.
Couldn't they hear themselves talking? Then why couldn't they understand him the slightest bit of why the hell he is so rebellious?
You sighed eyes flickering up as you saw a broke train flying straight to the seventh hokage's face on the wall.
It smashed harshly onto the stone wall, breaking some parts of it apart.
When the dust finally dispated, the figure of a boy climbed out as he stood on top of the train, proud of his work.
"Boruto Uzumaki, is here, ya know!"
The edges of your lips tilted upwards, watching the teachers who looked horrified and in complete shock, and the seventh hokage himself looking as if he was going to faint any moment.
What an interesting first day of the academy.
