Chapter Twenty, Wedding Planning
Christmas break had fast approached the Marauders and friends, and now all of them and their families knew Sirius and Josie were engaged and were very happy for them. In what free time they can spare, which wasn't a lot admittedly, Josie and Sirius had stolen kisses around the castle and talked about plans for their wedding that would be held next year or the year after depending on the season they decide on. Getting off the train Josie spotted her parents and ran towards them enveloping them both into a tight hug.
"Congratulations sweetheart." Monty and Mia said, kissing her forehead. "Congratulations Sirius." They both said once again, shaking his hand or hugging him in Mia's case. "Thank you Monty, Mia." Sirius said happily. "Congratulations Sirius, Josie." Arcturus and Melania congratulated, hugging the pair. "Thank you." Sirius and Josie said happily. "Let me see. Oh that ring is beautiful." Mia and Melania gasped, when they saw the ring. "Arcturus, Melania, would you and Regulus like to join us for tea back at home?" Mia asked.
"We'd love to thank you." Melania said happily, accepting on behalf of her husband and her youngest grandson. After saying goodbye to their friends, who were going home for Christmas this year, James linked arms with his mother, Josie with her father and Regulus and Sirius with their grandparents, as they all Apparated to Potter Manor.

"Now," Mia asked, as she, Josie, Sirius and Melania sat in the parlour with some tea and biscuits while the others were off somewhere else. "What theme would you like for your wedding?" She asked the pair. "I liked yours and Dad's wedding theme Mum. When you got married just before Christmas. I've always dreamed of it after seeing your wedding pictures." Josie confessed. "Unless, you want to get married at a different time of year, Sirius?" She asked nervously. "No. That sounds perfect, my love. I don't mind what season as long as I get to marry you." He says, kissing her knuckles. "But what about the Christmas after we've graduated so we can devote our time to our NEWTs while in school." Sirius suggested, hugging Josie close and kissing her temple lovingly.
"That is an excellent idea, Sirius. I'm so proud of how you've matured in the last few years." Melania praised. "Thank you Grandma." Sirius said happily. "Where would you want to get married and what colours?" Mia asked next, writing things down in the folder so she and Melania can organise things for the wedding, as Josie and Sirius were still in school and they would have a hectic time next year as they would have their final exams and they would be graduating. She couldn't believe how fast her babies had grown up, she could still remember when they were born. James and Josie had screamed every time they were separated so they shared a cot and would hold hands in their sleep. It was the most adorable thing she has ever seen. "Here." Both Sirius and Josie said, pulling her from her thoughts as she brushed away her unshed tears.
"Are you alright Mummy?" Josie asked, concerned, getting up and hugging her mother. "I'm perfectly fine, sweetheart. Just can't believe how fast you and Jamie have grown. I can still remember when you two were babies and would scream when you were in separate rooms. Your father and I ended up putting you both in the same cot in the end, and you'd settle right down and hold each other's hands. It was so adorable." Mia reminiscences, a blush spreading across Josie's cheeks while Sirius smirked at the bit of information that he could use against James. "What about in the gazebo in the garden?" Melania suggested, "with it all dressed up it would look amazing."
In the end they decided to hold the ceremony outside in the gazebo in the garden under warming charms, then come into the smaller ballroom as it would only be close friends and family. They had chosen navy and gold for the colours as Sirius claimed it was classy like Josie while also festive for the near Christmas period. Now with everything planned out - Sirius even secretly planning where he'd take her on Honeymoon having spoken to both his grandparents privately - both Josie and Sirius could not wait to call each other husband and wife and it seemed to have kicked Remus and James's buts into gear as they were now both seen to be making mental and physical notes of how and when they'd propose. It seems as soon as they finish Hogwarts it'll be a year for weddings.
