Chapter 31 - I Will Kill Your Entire Family If Anything Happens To Her (2)

Mu ZhenYu looked up and downed the nice wine in his glass. A look of unrestrained crossed his usually expressionless face. "Don't we just all live for satisfaction? Seeing her happy gives me satisfaction. So what do you think?"

Having said that, he looked over in the direction where Xu WanZhi was eating earlier but didn't see her.

His sharp eyes were on alert immediately. Putting down his glass, his tone turned cold. "Where is Xu WanZhi?"

"I haven't seen her since the cake-cutting." Bai FeiChen could sense the unusual air coming from Mu ZhenYu.

This buddy of his had an unusually difficult past. He might seem distant toward most things in life. But when it came to those that he cared about, they could never be out of his sight, or else – he could turn into the devil himself instantly.

Bai FeiChen waved for the bodyguards and said to him lightly, "Don't worry. She can't be far."

Mu ZhenYu scanned over the entire place. Finally, he honed in on a slightly chubby man.

The man met his eyes and quickly darted out of the door.

"Lend me a couple of your men." With a vicious look, Mu ZhenYu walked through the crowd, following the man.

Outside, Xu WanZhi and Shen Yi took a stroll as they talked about the script. They came upon a secluded area unwittingly.

Suddenly, Xu WanZhi felt enveloped in heat – her magic to keep herself cool had stopped working.

The next second, she could hear soft grunting noises not far from them. It sounded as if someone's mouth was covered, in pain, but wasn't able to cry out. The noises themselves were enough to make one feel uncomfortable.

Mu ZhenYu...

She frowned and walked toward that direction.

Shen Yi, noticing her odd look, followed her closely.

Outside the venue, the lights were mottled by trees. There was, however, a spot where the shadows did not move with the wind, as though a few people were hidden inside of it. The closer Xu WanZhi got, the clearer the grunts and they entered straight into her ears. Along with the grunts were the muffled noises made by a dull weapon beating down on a human body.

She walked around the nicely-trimmed bushes before she was what had happened in the dark.

A chubby man had something shoved in his mouth, and both of his arms were tied up behind his back. His face and noses were bruised and he was lying on the ground. A few bodyguards standing nearby with sleeves of their button-down shirts rolled up to their elbows, obviously just manhandled someone.

The few bodyguards obviously belonged to Bai FeiChen.

Next to the bodyguards, Mu ZhenYu was leaning against a tree branch, smoking. His eagle-like eyes, filled with contempt, sparkled with terrifying ferociousness.

Just by standing there, he exuded a thick sense of pressure.

Xu WanZhi looked at the well beaten man lying on the ground. At this very moment, she could clearly sense the villain aura radiated from Mu ZhenYu.

The chubby man struggled up and wanted to explain something, but was kicked back down mercilessly by one of the bodyguards.

"Didn't I say it clearly that I don't want to see any of his men near me?" Mu ZhenYu's deep voice, mixed with the cigarette smoke, seemed even duller and more ruthless. "The old man let you follow me all the way here. I guess he didn't plan on your safe return?"
