as requested, taehyung had arrived to the house once again. today seemed a little duller, a bit darker. the clouds lingering with rain drops that refused to fall leaving the air hot and humid. he was grateful for the chill of the air conditioning against his skin, even thicker as he walked down the stairs.

jungkook and yoongi were deep in conversation, staring intently and mulling over something serious. it took them a moment to notice the new presence and only one looked truly happy to see him.

"we need you to do a drop at kim entertainment." yoongi barely looked up as he motioned to the multiple computer towers that were sitting to his right, "namjoon will be your contact inside."

"fine." taehyung was already plugging in the information for a car to pick him up but jungkook was quick to interject.

"i can drive you! i have to run downtown anyways."

yoongi shook his head, "we don't have you do drop offs for a reason jungkook. your car, any inkling that you're delivering anything. the security cameras will have your plates and-,"

"i'll swap them when i get back to my apartment. it's not that serious!" the dark haired male smiled at tae, "come on, let's carry these out."

it was amazing how much stronger jungkook was than him, picking up two of the giant desktop style towers that were apparently filled to the brim with unnamed pills and substances that taehyung didn't want to know about.

the brunette struggled to grab the one that was left, alarmed at how heavy they were, "before i go, how was your date?" he knew it was petty to ask like this, to bring it up in front of jungkook. it was clear the younger didn't know by the way his jaw dropped hearing the word date directed at yoongi.

the blonde wanted to slice the smirk right from taehyung's face but, jimin loved him and jungkook seemed infatuated so unfortunately the boy was too important to simply get rid of.

"excuse me! what date?" jungkook's voice raised an octave, his eyes lighting up with mischief, "min yoongi went on a date and didn't even tell me?"

"i'll tell you later." it was evident he was embarrassed by the sudden attention, his usually calm and collected demeanor nowhere to be found as his cheeks painted themselves red.

"you better!" jungkook's voice was stern but compassionate. genuinely interested in what his best friend had to say about the date from the night before and suddenly curious how tae knew about it, "so, how did you know about his little date?"

the younger male set both computer towers down onto the sidewalk, ignoring the way noises that shouldn't, rattled around on the inside as he opened the trunk. taehyung waited for it to open before sliding the one he'd been carrying into the back and helping his boss with the other two.

"he's going out with my best friend." his tone of voice indicated he was less than thrilled.

"tell me about your best friend." jungkook started the car, the roar of the engine taking over as they slid onto the road.

"he's the best person in the world. pure, kind, genuine- he shouldn't be involved in any of this." taehyung flung his hand around to indicate that by "this" he meant whatever he was currently doing.

jungkook nodded in understanding. he got it; he really did, "yoongi is a really good guy." he wasn't sure why he was trying to defend the lifestyle, "he's super smart! he could do anything that he wanted but... sometimes we pick money over morals. not because we even want to but just because we need it."

taehyung knew that struggle all too well. he too, had picked money over morals as of late and it really wasn't sitting right with him.

"but that doesn't take away that he'll treat your best friend with the utmost care and respect. i've seen yoongi in relationships and he's like a completely different person, truly night and day!"
