Falling Down The Shallow End
That pain and sadness she has inside her head
She thinks she can take it,
But she can't.
The way she tries to get through it
Is wrong.....
Instead of talking....
Of getting help.....
Of coming to me and all her other friends
She turns to the blade
Even though the cuts are shallow
They still add to her pain.
Then whenever I see her,
She pretends everything is fine.
But I notice,
I notice the pain she has in her dark blue eyes,
When she thinks no one is looking.
I notice how pale her face is
When she wants to cry
But won't let herself
She thinks when I ask her
If she's okay
She can say "I'm Fine" and drop it
But that isn't the end of it.
I want her to know,
I will always be there for her....
And I will be her shoulder to cry on.
