SICK DAYS~ WILLIAM

The night was quiet and peaceful. Both William and (y/n) slept soundly in their bed as the night crept away. 

That was until the sleeping girl woke up with a disgusting cough. The girl sits up, her hand clutching her chest to try to ease the sharp pain in her chest and the other covering her mouth. The sudden noise causes William to wake up as well. 
Quickly as he could, he sits up and starts to rub (y/n)'s back. 

"Are you alright, my love?" He asks and (y/n) just nods but she continues to cough anyway. 
Soon the coughing dies down and the girl is left with trying to catch her breath. With every breath she took, pain shot through her chest. 

William places the back of his hand against her forehead. 
"Oh, you're burning up a little. I'll grab you a cold glass of water." William says as he gets out of bed. 
While he was gone, (y/n) got up from the bed and went to the bathroom so she could splash some cold water on her face to hopefully cool herself down. 

When she got back into the bed, a sudden cold wave a cold chills ran through her body. (y/n) quickly grabs the blankets and wraps them around herself to hopefully warm herself up.

William comes back into the room with a glass of water in his hand. "How are you feeling now?" 
"Just a little cold, nothing rest can't fix." 
William just hums in agreement and places the glass on her bedside table. 

"Thanks." 
"No problem, just get some rest."

(y/n) hums and closes her eyes and tries to get some rest.

Nights have passed and (y/n)'s condition still hasn't gotten better. In fact, it's gotten worse. She lost her appetite, her fever got higher, she couldn't sleep because of the terrible cough she got. 
William knew it was time to get a doctor when (y/n) started to cough up blood. He never done something so quick after he saw the blood. 

After the doctor came, he made William stand outside to wait for the verdict. It felt like forever until the doctor came out of the room. 

"Is she going to be okay?" 
"Yes, with the medicine I gave her she'll be okay... but it's not going to be easy." 

William's heart dropped at his last words, "what do you mean by that?" 

"Well, she has tuberculosis . If she takes her medicine everyday, it should go away in about six months." 

William let out a shaky breath, "that's a long time." 
"Don't worry. Her major symptoms should go away after a week if she keeps taking the medicine."
"That's good to hear. Thank you doctor." 
"That's not all." 
"Hmm? What else is there." 

"Tuberculosis is very contagious. If you're not vaccinated with it, it is very possible that you might catch it. Even after, you should probably quarantine yourself." 

Once again William's heart dropped at his words. He couldn't stand the fact that he had to spend time away with her. He didn't even care that he was going to be away from his captain duties. All he cared about was her and her health. 

"Everything will be okay though. Time will fly by and the week will be over before you know it." The doctor reassures him as they walk through the halls together.

William sat by the bed as he watched (y/n) sleep. He was happy that she was finally sleeping, she looked so peaceful and her breathing was back to normal as well. He could tell that the medicine was doing it's job and he couldn't be happier. 

(y/n) were still running a fever, but it was low enough to the point where it wasn't worrisome. He could see the color slowly return back to her. He pushed some of her (h/c) hair out of her face so he could see her clearer. 

The slight movement caused (y/n) to wake up though. William was soon met with her (e/c) eyes looking at him tiredly.

"What are you doing here? You can't be near me, or you'll get sick." 
William just smiles softly at her. The same smile that always make (y/n)'s heart go crazy.... which wasn't really good for her health right now. 

"It's okay (y/n). I don't care how sick you are. I'm going to stay by your side no matter what." 

Those simple words made her face go red and William started to worry. 

"Oh no. Are you feeling okay? You're getting really red. Do you need medicine, water, some ice?" 
(y/n) just chuckles and shakes her head. 
"No, no. You're just.. it's nothing to worry about my love. You're just making me blush." 

William laughs at your words, "I didn't know I still had that effect on you." 
"Oh, trust me. You'll always have that effect." 

William basically melts at her words. He never felt more loved than he did now. He leans forward, ready to place her lips on her but he was stopped. 

"I'm already letting you get close to me. But you're definitely not kissing me, I don't want you to get sick."
