I was listening to music through my headphones while I was watching my best friend kite unabara battling a challenger with his beyblade
Kite won the battle I cheered for him "hey y/n" kite's little brother eight unabara greeted me "hey short stuff" I said ruffling his hair
"Stop it y/n" he said I chuckled "don't be such a baby I barely touched you" I said I saw kite walk up to us "hey eight, y/n nice to see you as always" kite said
I smiled and greeted him "hey kite I saw your battle that was awesome" I said he turned his head away looking embarrassed "it was nothing" he said blushing
My alarm on my phone went off I pouted "well guys I have to go on my shift now seeya later" I said waving to them
Kite's pov
"Hey bro I know you have a thing with your crush y/n but could you not look like a love sick puppy" eight said "I'm not crushing on y/n" I said
"Uh huh sure that's what you say but I know better big bro" eight said groaning in disgust I rub my temple and sighed
"What are you on about eight" I said "big bro you have feelings for y/n that's that" he said I mean I guess he is right in his own way
"Let's go eight" I said ignoring what he said "whatever you say big bro" eight said as we strolled through town I saw y/n she was heading towards a hospital
"Hm why is she heading inside a hospital" eight said "don't know" I said we both head inside and follow her
"Miss l/n I'm afraid the results are positive you have cancer" said the doctor my eyes widened "there's really nothing I can do" she said
"Im afraid not miss l/n" the doctor said sorrowful I backed up in shock y/n has cancer "big bro" eight said "Let's go eight" I said
Y/n pov
I was walking home and I was close to tears I never even got to tell kite how I feel I thought as tears threatened to sting my eyes
I stopped and put a hand against a wall covering my mouth with the other hand to block my sobbing "y/n" I heard and froze
I slowly turned around and saw kite and eight "y/n you ok" eight said tears stung my eyes and I couldn't hold it in anymore
I ran away from them "hey y/n wait a second" I heard kite yelling after me I can't do it I can't face him right now I don't want to leave him
"Y/n" I could hear him getting closer and he caught my wrist "let go of me....let go" I screamed but then he did something unexpected
He kissed me on the lips my tears flowed out of my eyes as I closed my eyes and kissed back he pulled away and looked at me
"Y/n" he said "I didn't want to face you I...didn't want you to find out that I love you because I was..." "I know" he said in a whisper
My eyes widened "how do you know" I asked "me and eight saw you go into the hospital and followed you y/n...why didn't you tell me" he said
"I...was afraid you'd leave me" I said he hugged me "I would never leave you your the one I like" he said I noticed tears from his eyes
He was smiling while crying "I just hope it doesn't happen now" he said I hugged him back I don't want this moment to end
