Cali With Cameron

Chapter 4 ~ "Surprise!"

Melody woke up to Cameron sitting on the edge of the bed dressed already. He was on his phone.
Cameron: "Nice of you to join the land of the living."
He said sarcastically.
Mel: "How did you-"
Cameron: "I can see you in the reflection of my phone."
Mel: "Oh. Good morning."
Cameron: "It's 1 o'clock."
Mel: "Jet lag?"
She said laughing. Cameron didn't mind that she was sleeping in. He thought she was a cute sleeper,....not that he was watching her or anything...
Cameron: "Your family left you here."
Mel: "I bet they went to Hollywood Boulevard."
He nods.
Cameron: "You're stuck with me."
Mel: "Nothing wrong with that."
He smiled slightly. Melody laid back down.
Cameron: "Nope. You gotta get up."
He scooped her up and put her in the bathroom. He threw her some clothes in and locked the door before closing it.
Mel: "I'm guessing we're going somewhere?"
She said from inside the bathroom.
Cameron: "Yep."
Melody laughed and put the clothes on.
Mel: "Did you deliberately put this outfit together?"

Cameron: "No. I just threw some clothes in there."
She walked out the bathroom.
Mel: "It matches."
She says giggling. She grabs her mini backpack and her phone. Cameron grabs her wrist and pulls her to the door.
Cameron: "Let's go!"
They get downstairs.
Mel: "Where's your mom?"
Cameron: "With everyone else. Connor and them went too."
Mel: "Where are we going?"
Cameron: "It's a surprise. We're taking an Uber."
They walk outside and lock the house up. The Uber pulls up and they get in the back. Eventually they get to a place with a gate. Cameron lets down the window and they guards let them in. That's when Mel realized where they were.
Mel: "You're taking me to set?!"
Cameron: "Surprise! You're officially a part of the live studio audience."
Mel: "Cool!"
They get there and walk in to the set. There was nobody there except for the cast and crew. Cameron put his arm over Melody's shoulders.
Cameron: "I brought you in early so you can meet Meg. Sadly, two McKellan kids aren't called in today but-"
??: "Hey CJ- woah she's pretty! Who's this?"
She says excitedly.
Mel: "I'm Melody, call me Mel, and you must be-"
??: "Talia! I play Jade."
Mel: "Nice to meet you."
Talia: "So, are you auditioning Thursday?"
Mel: "Yeah. I'm nervous..."
Cameron: "No need to be. We'll both be there!"
Talia: "He's right. Meg always wants us to have a good relationship with our cast mates."
Melody nods her head.
Talia: "Do you want to come with me to my room?"
Mel: "If it's ok with CJ."
Cameron: "Go ahead. I have to film before she does anyway."
Talia grabs Melody's arm and pulls her away fast. They get to her room and it's pretty nice.
Talia: "So, what's brings you to Cali?"
Mel: "I won Cameron's contest. I'm leaving Sunday unless I get the part. I don't know what I'll do then."
Talia starts taking her makeup off, so she can go to the makeup trailer.
