An Unstoppable Rival (The Medoran Chronicles Modern AU)

Disclaimer: I do not own these characters (though I wish I did). All characters are from Lynette Noni's 'The Medoran Chronicles.'

A quick note: I'm Australian. I have no idea what American schools are like personally. I'm using knowledge from movies and other fanfictions - I might research stuff too - to try and make this accurate. I'm using American schools in this fanfiction because it's a familiar school system to most people.

Updates will be slow since life likes to stop me from doing what I enjoy; just a warning for anyone hoping for quick updates. I won't be updating fast, so I will make each chapter at least 2000 words each unless something prevents me from doing so.

I am one for cutting things short, so if this fanfiction never gets an ending, don't say I didn't warn you.

After five chapters or so, I will proofread each and make sure they line up with the current plot since fanfiction is known to divert from the book's storyline. I'm hoping that this technique will prevent that from happening, so note that it's likely any updates from already written chapters after five chapters.

I will be writing an initial five chapters before posting any further to try to maintain a consistent flow of installments in the future. This will also ensure a solid plot and the unlikelihood of initial chapters changing to help readers follow the story without rereading chapters. It'll also help me because, knowing myself, I like to plan anyway so, plot diversion is unlikely but still plausible.

I am very new at writing. This is my second ever fanfiction, the first hardly counting as it was cringy and written years ago. My dream is to be an author; I am currently writing my own original novel - only three chapters in but have been planning for eight months - but am at a loss of what to write so, I am hoping writing this will help me to get out of a writer's block which might be forming. Any constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.

That all being said, I hope you enjoy whatever my brain comes up with for this unplanned - purely structured from the base of an idea - story.
