I was laying down waiting for the party to be over. I love my younger siblings but there is no one there my age and he asked me to keep my distance from his friends.

He's 11 turning 12. Every year my mom and dad throw him a birthday party. I get money and dropped off at the mall. Nothing special.

I'm used to this.
For a girl my age I am well developed in the "right places" as my father put it.

My family has always counted me out no matter the situation.

An over the years I kind accepted it.
This treatment started a while ago. I'm 15 turning 16 in a 2 weeks.

Mother : Y/N COME DOWNSTAIRS AND HELP ME !

I ran downstairs as quick as I can.

Y/n: What do you need help with?

Mother: Here take this outside.

I grabbed the chip bowl and took I out there. I noticed all the lil kids there playing around .

I almost Bursted out laughing.
There were kids there pretending to play Fortnite on real life..

It makes me question the sanity of our generation.

Mom: Oh he's here! HONEY GO OPEN THE DOOR THE CLOWN IS HERE .

My heart practically dropped. I've always had a fear of clowns and my parents knew this.

Y would they invite one.

I ran back inside to see if my mom was still in the kitchen.

Y/n : What the hell? Y would u invite a c- clown here.

Past tense:

Dad: Y/n Look there it's a clown!

Y/n : Where?!

Mother: Go! Take a picture with it!!

Y/n : Sir! CCAN WE TAKE A PICTURE

Clown: Get away from me kid

My heart was scared nobody had really never told me that before.

I didn't know whether to cry or run back.
The other clowns were just starring at me.

Y/n : He's taking pictures with to many kids.

Mother: Stop lying I saw u talk with him . Let's go.

But I didn't wanna go. I was scared he would send me away again.

I began to cry out of fear of being sent away again.

Dad: What are u doing ur embarrassing us !

Mother: Let's just go.

Back to present:

Mother: Look honey it was last minute discussion. If I knew that the bouncy house person wasn't gonna be here in time . I would've never invited the clown.

Y/n : Yeah but out of the things . You invited a clown-

HONK*HONK*HONK*

I fell to ground out of fear. I didn't expect that at all .

Clown: SORRY DIDN'T MEAN TO SCARY YEAH THERE MISSY .

The flash back of all the clowns STARRING me down came back.

I couldn't say a word.
I just looked down .

The clown offered me a hand but I didn't take it.

I don't need a clowns help.

Mother: Sorry. She has a fear of clowns.

Clown: OH! My apologies little girl. Didn't mean to scare you. See I'm a nice clown.. I'm not here to hurt you!

He began to laugh it off like it was nothing.

See maybe ur afraid of me. But see my buddy here isn't as scary!

I didn't want to look up.
I didn't want to see a clown.
Not today.
Not ever.

I got up and with my head still bowed an walked away.

Mother: I'm so sorry.

Clown: It's okay! We have a lot people who are Afraid of us.

Clown2 : I watched the girl walk past everyone without saying a single word.
I've never met someone with a IRRATIONAL fear of clowns.

Clowns2: Guess it was just in my head.
Guess what they say is true.

Brother: AWW COOL GUYS MY MOM GOT US A CLOWN!!

I locked my room door.
I was hyperventilating.
I can't.
I can't catch my breath.
I can't breath.
I just can't.

I layed on the room floor till I built up the strength again to move my body.

I sat on the floor but now my back is against the wall.

I had tears in my eyes like years before.

I can't go back down there till the party is over. That was humiliating.

I never wanna see those clowns again.
