Winning Her Back - Part Four

Kartik was talking with someone on the call when he came in.

He was shocked when he saw naira standing there with his hospital file in her hands.

She looked at him with teary eyes and sat on the sofa.

He quickly ended the call and went towards her.

"Naira.."He said kneeling down infront of her.

She was honestly out of words and didn't know what to even say after this.

He tried to take them from her but naira didn't let go off it.

"Why did you hide this from me?"She asked

"Naira —"

"You had brain tumor and you had undergone the treatment for it and you hid this from me?!"She asked

"Why kartik?Why?"Naira asked

"Because the doctor back then said it will only 50 - 50 chances!"Kartik said

"Haa naira,it was grade one only and he said I will recover if I start the treatment soon and undergo the surgery soon but still the chances were 50 - 50!If it is grade one is mostly curable only but my case was a bit complicated!"He said

"I know..if something happens to me I know what you will do to yourself..that is why —"He said but stopped when naira spoke

"That is why you said you didn't want to marry me..so I would hate you and that I would stay away from you"She said realising it.

"Just tell me everything..please!"Naira said and he nodded.

Flashback

Three days before Kaira's wedding

As the wedding was near the both families were so busy with the preparations.

Kartik and naira couldn't meet but they spoke on calls daily.

Kartik was not feeling well but he brushed all of this off thinking it was just normal weakness because of the wedding preparations and all.

One day kartik went out to pick up his sherwani.

He picked it up and when he came back to his car he realised it was not starting.

As he needed to go home urgently he called his friend karan who was in a nearby area and asked him to come and pick him up.

After 5 minutes karan came on his bike.

"Let's hurry up..I need to get home soon"Kartik said and karan nodded.

As they were heading home and when they were crossing the road a car came speedily towards them.

"Karan!"Kartik shouted when he saw the car.

Karan stopped the bike very suddenly causing for both of them to fall down.

After sometime kartik woke up in the hospital.

He was confused thinking about why he was here.

"What happened? Why am I here?"He asked as karan came in.

"You fell unconscious after that accident..I was worried so I bought you here"Karan said

"I am fine now naa..come on let's go home"Kartik said and then they left.
