The Fallen Rose (Book 3 of "Rock Bottom")

We made it to school, luckily not late, and ran to the football field. We looked around the bleachers and saw our friends. Maria, Sebastien, Candice, and Mason. I ran up the bleachers with Stefan following me and Mason saw me, immediately standing up

Mason: Come here! Right! Now!

I ran faster and leapt into his arms, hugging each other tightly

Sophia: You're back!

Mason: Hell yeah I am! I missed you!

Sophia: I missed YOU! When'd you get back?

He set me down on to my feet

Mason: Last night-

Sophia: And you didn't tell me!? You asshole! I would've totally came to your house last night!

Mason: I wanted to surprise you! Are you surprised?

Sophia: I mean- I guess! You did hall off to Paris all summer and then you show up unannounced!

Mason: I told you to come with me! You're mom would've been fine with it!

Sophia: But you know how my dad is!

Mason: Ok but like-!

Candice: Hey guys!

We looked at her, and then everyone else

Candice: We're still here if you haven't noticed!

Mason and I looked at each other and laughed

Sebastien: So, are we gonna get a hug or not?

We laughed, and I hugged everyone, and Sebastien hugged me the longest. His arms wrapped around my body perfectly. Him and I have a connection that we don't have with the rest of the group. It's really hard to explain but, I guess we kind of have that romantic connection. We've known each other since we were kids, and we've never been apart. Him and his twin sister, Alexis, have been our neighbors since we were all three, and the crazy thing is, Stefan and I are a week older than them, so I guess you could say we're closer than anyone ever.

We continued hugging, and eventually pulled away from each other, and we stared into each other's eyes. I could look into those green eye's forever, and will never get bore-

Stefan: Earth to Soph!

I got locked out of my thoughts and looked at everyone

Sophia: Oh, sorry

I looked at everyone, and Mason looked uncomfortable, and upset, but I ignored it for now. I'll ask him what's wrong in class

Sophia: uh, where are our other cousins?

Candice: Damon is at baseball practice, and Ayden, I don't know where he is

Maria: But of course you would know where Damon is?

She side eyed her and Candice rolled her eyes

Candice: It's not like that

Stefan: I bet you want it like that though huh?

Candice: Shut up!

We all laughed as the bell rang and we all began to walk to class
