i stared out the window as we drove to the restaurant.

questioning if i did the right thing by not texting or talking to her.

it's late to regret it now.

i was snapped out of my thoughts when the car drove over a pothole.

we're here.

we parked and entered the restaurant, then sat at a table.

we always planned our reservations a few days in advance, and it was always the same table, with the same amount of people.

so when we walked up to the host and told them it was for "hacker", she said something that stung.

"table for 5?"

we sat down and started eating.

"vinnie what did you possibly do to make her not show up to brunch. she's never missed brunch, even when you colossally pissed her off that one time"
