It was a fresh summer day as you awaken to the sun lighting your room. You look outside to the backyard and see a certain man tending to a patch of white lilies. You grab your crutches and limp downstairs and to the backyard, smiling as you watch him show his more soft and sensitive side. You wish he showed it more, he is quite a nice man once you get beneath his slight attitude.
"Hi Gabriel, How are ya?"
He jumps qnd drops his shovel and quickly turns towards you, his gardening apron covered in dirt.
"Y-Y/N! Don't scare me like that! What are you doing up?"
"The Sun woke me up. So how are the Lilies?"
You limp over as he turns back to his flowers
"A little low on water, the summer is hot this year..."
"Here, let me help"
You grab the watering pail and go inside, filling it with nice, warm water and go back out to water the dehydrated flowers. You begin slowly letting the water out as he places his hand on yours, leading your hand to where the water must be. You look at him and back to the flowers, blush starting to form on your face.
"Your a kind person Y/N. I am glad you are with me, I really need someone to care about"
"Well, I care about you too Gabriel..."
"Y/N... There is something i have wanted to tell you since 3rd grade..."
"What is it?"
You look at him, confused
"S-Stay there for a moment"
He takes a step inside and takes a breathe to compose himself before heading upstairs. You sit by the flowers and stroke their leafs. He has taken great care of them, I wonder how long he has been into gardening? You look over at the door and see him, holding something behind his back as he walks up to you
"Y/N I... I don't know how to say this but um... I uh..."
He pulls a bouquet of your favorite flower out qnd hands them to you. You stare in shock qt the flowers and back up to him once he starts speaking.
"Y/N, I have loved you since I was a child. I always wondered when I would see you again and now that we are here it seemed like the right place to say it..."
"Gabriel I-"
"I know, it is a long shot but... would you like to be my (Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Significant Other)...?"
You spring into a hug, smiling like and idiot.
"Of course i would! I love you Gabriel!"
"I... I love you too Y/N"
