"Will you be alright once I'm gone?"
His voice was serene,calm.
He always has been.
Never once a ripple or a crack in that perfect facade of his.

"I don't know," I lied.

The weather was cold,as always.
The snow crunching beneath our feet as we hiked our way up.

Fingertips reddened by the cold, yet he seems so unfazed.
As if he was immune to it.

He took off his signature white coat, gingerly placing it over my shoulders. Handling me so gently, I wanted to cry.

The stars shining in the dark above, each trying to outshine the rest.

But they don't matter anything to me.

As I'm forever lost in his eyes, the infinite galaxies he held captive within them, as I drink them in, admiring their ethereal glow.

The higher the attitude, the thinner the air became.  Lungs wheezing, my ribcage contrasting  as i wheezed.

Yet he continued on,holding my frostbite hand in his, the comforting warmth radiating me.

Ah...we've reached the very top.

The forgotten floating pillar of Celestia, the 'Skyfrost Nail' hovering in front of us.

The ruthless bitter wind so cold, every breath in felt like they were stabbing my lungs from within.

"I guess...this is goodbye."
He shrugged with a small, sad smile. "Till we meet again."

"In another life?" I choked back.

"In another life."

His lips brushed against mine softly for a second.
Like feathers of birds brushing against each other for that slight second, before going on their separate ways.

A single teardrop flowing down.

His eyes then turned darker hue, the stars in my skies dimmed.
He's no longer shining as bright, just a dead star.

I drew out my sword, his coat now has a thin layer of frost and snow covering ut, growing heavier on my shoulders.

The human-like creature, fangs baring, white scaly wings upon his back, purple venom dripping.

He isn't albedo.
I chanted to myself like a mantra.
He isn't anymore.

I...just can't.

Lunging forwards tackling it in my arms, as we fell down, down, down.

Stars shining from above, it was breathtaking.

But they don't matter anything to me.

A dead star is still a star.

Even if it doesn't glow as brightly as the rest, it's the one I'm closest to among all.
The one very dear to me.

I hope I'm going to be the closest star to him, shining by him soon.

Stars now all shining around us. Bathing us in their light.
