1971 - The year we met. How little we were, weren't we? How naïve. Prongs had once stated that we'd be legendary; that all the world's forces would fail to break us apart. Isn't it ironic Prongs, that you - of all people - left us so early?

Do you remember what you told us that day, Padfoot? I do. "We'll be one big family, all of us," you said. "and we'll get to see each other grow old and have a good laugh about it."

Remember?

Why did we agree to it, when we should have known that it was an empty promise; that nothing was in our hands?

The universe may have been cruel to us, but it wasn't always that way. There used to be a time when everything was perfect. We were perfect. The time when all we thought about was the present - the here and now.

The time we believed in forever.
