Chapter 16

Priam Pov

"Uncle, is our baby okay?" tanong ko sa uncle ko nang makalabas siya sa kwarto kung saan si Kai. My unlce is an obstetrician and he is the who run a check-up for Kai.

"You're the father of Makaio's child?" hindi sinagot ni uncle ang tanong.

"Yes, uncle is there something wrong with that?"

Ngumisi si uncle sa akin. "No, there's none. I'm just surprised. Makaio is my patient, he is the son of my friend, Gino."

What the hell!? Kaibigan pala ni uncle Rain si tito Gino and Kai is his patient. What a small world.

"Anyways, your baby is safe be thankful na malakas ang kapit ng niya but don't let Makaio stress-out hindi iyon nakakabuti sa kanya spotting is natural for a bearer for his first two months Priam but bleeding is not in the picture, it shouldn't be. Kaya bantayan mo si Makaio."

Seryoso akong nakikinig kay uncle. Uncle Rain is my mother's older brother. Tinapik ni uncle ang balikat ko. "I need to go back, Priam. Just call me and have your chopper ready if you need me."

"Thanks uncle and please... please just keep it as a secret from my family..."

"Hindi ka pa handa na sabihin sa kanila ito?"

"No uncle, it's just that Kai and I are not in the same page."

Bumuntong hininga si uncle Rain at pinisil ang balikat ko. "Hmm, I understand. You can trust me that i will not say a single word to them about this. And by the way, you can get in now maybe Makaio is waiting for you." pagsasalita ni uncle saka tuluyan nang umalis.

Naiwan akong mag-isa sa labas ng kwarto kung saan si Kai. If only what uncle Rain said is true magpapa-party talaga ako. But just thinking of Kai waiting for me... malabong mangyari iyon. We've been living in one roof for almost two months but not even once na tinanong niya ako kung okay ba ako. Kung kumusta ba ako? Kung ayos lang ba ang araw ko? Lagi ngang pagalit siya kapag sinasagot ang mga tinatanong ko siya.

Even if Kai is cold to me and always gets mad at me. I still like him. I like him so much. Siguro kasama na iyan sa nagustuhan ko sa kanya.

I sigh before knocking the door three times.

"Kai," i called him once the door swung open. Nakasandal lang siya sa headboard ng kama. Tapos ang mata niya ay nasa dalawang kamay niya na nasa hita niya na mahigpit na nakakapit sa kumot. Agad akong lumapit sa kanya at umakyat ng kama.

Hinawakan ko ang nanlalamig at nanginginig niyang kamay. Ang nakayuko niyang ulo ay inangat niya sa akin. I was taken aback when I saw his fresh tears flowing on his cheeks.

I am bewildered. "Kai, is there something wrong? May masakit ba sayo? Tell me." ako at pinupunasan ko ang luha niya but it keeps on flowing. Fuck!

Even if I am amazed that he let me touch him without saying anything. I am still worried.

He shook his head.

"Then-"

"Muntik ng mapahamak ang baby natin dahil sa akin Priam." he started. There's something that rubbed my heart upon hearing what Kai's said. He just said our baby. Damn. Our baby. I wanna jump because of the happiness. "Akala ko mawawala na siya Priam. Akala ko mawawala na ang anak natin."

I grab his hands and have him in my arms. I let him cried on my chest while I'm rubbing his back. After a while he stopped crying but he is still sobbing in my arms. I'm so damn happy that he also wrapped his arms around me. This is what I'm dreaming off.
