Aphrodite was the goddess of love and beauty. Aphie was a teenage girl who was just trying to make it through life alive. After surviving a maze trying to torture her, many other girls, and one boy, it was now time that she and her best friend, Aris, faced the horror of the scorch alongside new friends, including one who caught her eye in particular; sharing the name of an appliance used in cooking.
At their facility, where their friends got picked off one by one, they get slowly more suspicious of their so called hero's. Eventually, the two team up with another maze to escape their captors, and Aphie finds herself fascinated with one of the boys in particular. Aphie cant help but wonder why the sweet boy became so infatuated with her in return, she couldn't compare to his kindness. But that wouldn't stop Fry from trying to show her as a goddess; Aphrodite.
