"C'mon Rogie" Shouted Ringo who was also beginning to run down the field, taking his position. A wide grin grew on my face to see how excited everyone was and motioned to George for us to start the game. I passed him the ball that I was holding, signalling him to get down to the field to join the rest.
Julian and Cynthia was at the other corner, playing around with the extra ball I've brought. Sooner enough he'll loss interest in that after he sees the adults all playing and join in with us. That would be an interesting game, a toddler in the team, I began to fantasize still amazed on how much that little kid could do.
I head down to the field and George started the game with Ringo being the goalie on the right goal post. Cynthia has somehow managed to get hold of the whistle and blows it as we begun the game, which startled me slightly as I took no notice that has already got her hands on the whistle.
George was a decent player, he was quite skillful in tackling even though he was careful not to hit me.
"Y'know you can hit me right" I laughed seeing him back away from my every move. "That wouldn't be so un-gentleman of me then" replied George as the both of us tried to get pass each other.
"This is football no one is a gentleman" I claimed as I distracted him and ran pass, attempting to strike for the goal before Paul ran pass me and steals the ball.
"Macca I'm free!" shouted John who's waving his hand in the air as Paul ran towards the other direction from him. George spotted this and ran towards Paul, trying to snatch the ball from him. I hault down my running to jogging as I look at them battling for the ball in the middle of the field.
With the golden ray of sunlight bursting through as the sun started to set, it really enhanced the atmosphere. Somehow the sight of those two boys battling for the ball was quite charming to me, I was flustered all of the sudden from a feeling I didn't know where it came from. It was rather silly of a feeling but I didn't stop myself.
My focus came back to the game as I saw George running back towards the other end of the field where I stood as he succeeded in snatching the ball back from Paul. I stood in position ready to block him from the goal as he came closer.
I nodded to Ringo, signalling that I'm going in to snatch the ball. I ran towards George and tried to tackle him from the back until he suddenly did the mcgeady spin and headed back again towards the goal.
"George!" I panted out in suprise, I was quite Impressed by his sudden move, I didn't knew he could run that well in the field.
In a split second I heard a big shout of "GOALLL!!" I look over to the goal and it seems like George managed to score it.
"What a great shoot from Harrison!" Commanded John in deep television voice from afar after George shooted.
"Not bad Geo" I grinned at him as I panted slightly after I slowed down. I tried to give an impression of how impress I was with his move.
As the day got darker and all of us was knackered, we ended the game on 1-2 being me and Paul who scored the other two goals, beating team George and John.
My body was exhausted from all of the running and tackling that my legs couldn't walk properly, I decided to just let my body cool down and dropped to the ground on the field not even wanting to get up.
From the corner of my eye I spotted George running over to my direction with two water bottles in his hand and a wide grin visible on his face as I layed there still slightly panting from the game.
He slowed down as he came nearer, his small chuckles audible as he sat himself besides me. "What's so funny?" I cocked as eyebrow as I raised my body to sit up straight.
