Just another game of Bedwars, that's what it was meant to be, right?

Everyone in the match thought as much until only two teams remained. The reds and the blues, reds still having their bed, and blues lacking their source of rest, remedy, and life itself.

Now normally, the reds would overtake the bedless blues and wipe out their forces, but not this time. Throughout the match, the two sides had formed a bond cemented in the total desperation for survival, and the want to bathe in the glory of victory. Unconsciously, the teams had shifted into a strategy of defend each other, take out the others.
This did work until the game neared its end. As any Bedwars player would know, there can only be one team standing in the end. Neither team wanted to accept this fact. Both teams had gathered at one base, trying to determine what to do, muddled thoughts racing in each of the players heads.
"Why don't we all jump together?"
Everyone turned to look at source of the voice.
"I mean, you guys got any better ideas?"
The group remained silent.
...
.....
.......
"Welp, let's get to the edge."
Everyone sighed internally at the certainty of death upon falling to the abyss before them, yet shuffled their feet to the edge of the map anyway. Those daring enough glanced into the void's cold arms.
Those not so ready set their eyes on the faces of their allies and never looked away.
Everyone was in position.
But nobody wanted to take the fall.

A light breeze grazed past the edge of the void.

You could hear a pen drop.

Until finally...
"Sometimes a foe can make a friend for life."
And then the first went sailing over the edge with a graceful leap.

The tension in the air seemed to melt as the rest followed close behind. They were finally ready to face the fall.
