Chapter 8: Negotiation

Third Person's POV

Nagpatuloy na paglapit ang dalawa sa grupo ng mga knights at sundalo ng Satie Empire. Aya's afraid of what her master might be thinking. It would be troublesome if this negotiation would lead into chaos.

They are in the battlefield and Aya is aware of what other possibilities they have to face. Kung hindi umayon sa gusto nila ang hukbo ng Satie Empire na ito ay maaaring mapasubok talaga sila sa labanan.

And the worst thing is if both these two empires will not let them go.

Nang makalapit ang dalawa ay napansin agad ito ng mga knights kaya't agad silang tinutukan ng mga sandata nito.

Their presence alerted the whole troops of the Satie Empire, thinking that they were one of their foes.

"Identify yourself and your purpose in going here." One of the knights said with authority.

"Your face is unfamiliar. You're obviously not one of the soldiers or knights." Duke Renova said in an arrogant tone. He's one of the nobility leading this battle.

Knights are directly under the Imperial Order and soldiers are under the Order of the Knights. Hence, Knights have more authority than the normal soldier.

"We're just a passerby. We are in a hurry to bring the medicine for one of our family." Aya said while looking coldly at Duke Renova.

"How dare a mere commoner look directly into my eyes." Duke Renova gritted his teeth.

In this world a commoner isn't allowed to talk back and look at the face of a noble. They must stay their heads down unless the noble tell them to raise it.

"I beg your pardon, Sir. We are really in a hurry, we just happened to pass by here because we thought through this route we could reach the house quickly." Aya said in a calm voice tapos ay yumuko na ito.

Duke Renova stares at them in disgrace. On the other hand, Yveria doesn't seem to care even if the atmosphere begins to get heavy.

In fact, she's waiting for them to make a wrong move.

"This won't do. Aya, talk to the Castillan Kingdom's people." Yveria said.

Aya was hesitant at first to leave her master but Yve reminded her that they are running out of time.

Aya's POV

I don't want to leave her but we really are running out of time. Mr. Carrion might die if we waste more time.

Mabuti na lang at hinayaan akong umalis ng mga aroganteng tao na yon. Napaka-gagaspang ng pag-uugali. No wonder people in that country seems to suffer in extreme poverty. Nakita ko ito mismo noong papunta kami sa capital.

"I hope Castillans' will cooperate."

Naalerto ang mga knights at mga sundalo ng Castillan Kingdom ng malapit na ako sa mga ito. Marahil ay nacu-curious din ang mga ito sa nangyayare kaya't agad na may sumalubong sa akin.

Hindi gaya ng mga tao sa Satie Empire na agad nilabas ang espada nila sa amin kanina mahinahon akong hinarap ng taong ito. He must be a noble knight dahil halatado naman na iba ang klase ng uniporme nito kaysa sa karamihan.

"We are from the Castillan Kingdom. Kinailangan lamang po namin na bumili ng gamot na nanggaling sa Satie Empire. Nakikiusap po kami na sana ay padaanin kami ng mapayapa dahil nasa kritikal na lagay na ang isa sa aming kapamilya." Magalang kong sabi dito dahil mukha itong kagalang galang at respetadong tao.

"Bakit kailangan nyo pang dito dumaan marami namang ibang ruta na mas ligtas para sa inyo? Hindi ninyo ba alam na ang lugar na ito ay delikado para sa mga katulad ninyo?" Mahabang lintanya nito. Pakiramdam ko ay nabuhay bigla ang nanay ko.

"Pasensya na ho kayo. Malayo po kasi sa kabihasnan ang lugar na tinitirhan namin kaya't hindi namin alam na ito pala ay delikadong lugar." I lied. I'm not afraid to die I'm afraid that if I don't get this done as soon as possible, Ms. Yve will throw a bomb here. A real bomb or worst release a poisonous gas.

"Alright. Hilingin mo na lang na makaalis yung kasama mo sa mga taong yon hindi nyo kilala ang mga tao sa emperyong yon." May tono ng pananakot sa boses nito.

"Y'all don't know my master too." Pabulong na sagot ko dito. Mabuti na lang at bumalik na ito sa kanilang hukbo. Sumunod na lang din ako at baka mamaya ay may palaso na lang na tumama sa akin.

Mukhang makaluma parin ang mundong ito dahil mukhang sword, bow and arrow lang ang weapon na gamit nila.

"Hintayin mo na lang ang kasama mo dito at kapag hindi na sya bumalik dapat maghanda ka ng umuwi." Sabi ng noble knight na nakausap ko kanina. Tumango na lang ako kahit alam kong hindi mangyayare yon.

This troops looks more dignified than those Satie asshole. Nakahanay lang ang mga ito mukhang handang handa na sa gyera.

"Oh she's coming here." Rinig kong sabi ng isa sa mga knights ng Castillans.

I know right, those Satie assholes won't match my master.

I thought everything was going to be fine but when Ms. Yveria was halfway to reach us. I saw Duke Renova secretly make a signal.

I know that's not a good thing.

Hindi ko alam kung napansin din iyon ng mga knights na kasama ko dahil tahimik lang ang mga ito.

Everyone was surprised even me nang biglang mag-launch ng arrows ang grupo ng Satie Empire.

"What the hell are they doing?" One of the Knights said.

"Are they starting the battle now?" Rinig kong tanong ng isa sa mga sundalo nito.

"No. They are clearly going to my lady's place." Naramdaman ko ang paglingon ng mga ito sa akin.

"No matter what happen please don't meddle with her business. She isn't what you think she is." Bumaba ako sa kabayo at lumakad papunta sa harap ng Castillan soldiers and knights.

"Please don't make a move that will get my lady's attention because if you insist....

Between your country and the Satie Empire, no one will win against her. I'm not threatening the Castillan Kingdom, forgive me if I sound arrogant. Please don't, cause I still have my conscience but my lady doesn't have."

Pagkatapos ay yumuko ako sa harap ng mga ito. I've heard from Latil that this is a form of body language to express your sincerity here in this world.
