We all have our secrets we bare, the ones that no one knows and the ones that everyone knows. I feel like most people's secrets are little white lies or family issues. Life is always hard, and secrets don't help. Telling the things you can't can help but then they know the little things that could be used against you or others. Kinsey knew that and didn't want it to ruin her, she tried to either not have things to hide, and if she did... she bottled them up letting them fade away for another day. When she had a crush she told him and her friends. Unlike Kinsey, a boy named Derek was not like this, he never talked nor told anyone a secret. He felt like his whole life was a secret, not being able to tell anyone anything. When he liked a girl, he never said a thing never got the girl. Just looked at her from afar. Kinsey like a boy (not a real change for her) but the change was, this boy she just couldn't tell that she liked her, knowing that he wouldn't do a thing about it. Derek liked a girl and knew if he told her she would do something. The thing was nothing could push the other one to say this secret, this simple thing. The thing about them was they always saw the other one looking at them from afar for years now.

It's been a few years since they both found this secret, and where now in twelve grade. The girl would talk to him and he would listen. And he liked well loved to listen, he had fallen madly deeply truly in love with her over the years. And she had done the same.

Today unlike most days, both Kinsey and Derek had a secret to tell one another. Kinsey was already in her seat for her first class, she looked around for Derek he wasn't there. She was worried, could he be sick on the day she was gonna tell her secret? "Kinsey Colbert, we have a call for you." The voice from the celling said softly over the intercom. She got out of her desk and went to the front office. "Yes?" She asked confused to say the least. They have her the phone piety plastered on their faces. "Kinsey?" A womans voice asked from the other side over the phone. "This is she, who is asking?" She asked. "This is well I'm Derek's mom, he told me to call you out of all people." The line went mostly slight other than a few cries. "Well, he's in the hospital, on the way to school he blacked out and went into a stroke." His mother finished sobbing at the other end. Kinsey dropped the phone and ran, she ran all the way to the hospital.

"Hello, where is Derek Centow's room?" She asked, hot liquid flowing down her cheeks as they fell to her chin then of her body. "Room 213." The nurse at the front smiled. Kinsey ran to his room finding it. "Derek? It's me." She smiled. He looked at her. "Kinsey, I need to tell you something. I've been listening to your secrets for years now and now I have one for you. I love you." He smiled a small tear slightly falling. "Derek, I love you too." Kinsey sobbed, bending down and hugging the boy.
