Chapter 27 - The Breaking News

Eve POV

I woke up on my fiancé's arms. He cradled me while he fell asleep uncomfortably on his office couch. My loving and handsome man. I stared at him like he was just one of my fantasy. I mentally laughed at that thought.

He fluttered his eyes open then tickled my sides while i'm lost in my dreamland. I popped my bubble then clung into his neck. "You're not gonna get a kiss from me if you don't stop tickling me baby..." He stopped instantly, his eyes burning holes on mine. "I'll do everything to get a kiss from you my darling..." He chuckled but i just shrugged it off. "Let's just watch them outside." I stood up then hurried to the door. He grabbed my waist in just few strides. I felt his breathe on my nape. "You can't resist my charm honey..." I felt such electricity on my spine as he brushed his lips onto my precious neck. I moaned but tried to resist but i managed to grab the door handle. I gave him a devilish grin as i heard him growled in frustration.

The music thumps on each sides of the walls. I saw the newlyweds singing duet. Claire's eyes instantly landed on my face. She smiled and i know that something was up.

Rob followed me towards the bar and ordered me a cocktail while he had double shots of gin tonic. I was pretty shaken up but the fact that Rob is here with me not letting me go is superb plus i got my super friends with me as well. I guess i'm gonna get through this.

The crowd applaud as i heard Rick calling me up stage. I felt a warm hand on my ass, "Babe go heat me up, i mean the stage..." i just stifled a laugh. I gave him a peck on his lips then went my way up to the stage. I told Rick the song i'm gonna sing. I picked a classic, 'til they take my heart away', for my man only. The music started playing then little by little the beat sinks into my nerves.

The music's changed

Til they take my heart away...

I went towards him singing each line, my gaze never left his brown piercing orbs that heats up my whole well being. Oh how i'm so in love with this lovely Greek God like slash superhero Fiancé of mine...

Rob POV

I wrap my arms around her waist as she chant each line like telling me how much she loves me. She's like a witch casting a spell on me. Her eyes hypnotizing me, slowly pulling me to her. Her body language sums it all, making my little one underneath my pants stiffen to its heist. Damn this woman. Her song was done but i kept her pressed on me. Close enough to bring fireworks on my insides. Her Goddess smile making my heart skip fast paced like a bullet train.

The night went by as we, Eve and yours truly, banged each other in my office a couple of times before we head home. Exhaustion hits us as we lay in bed together wrapped in each others arms. I felt excited hearing people call her Mrs. Ivory "Eve" Porter-Panes. I can't wait to put a promise band on this woman's left ring finger, my promise band...

Eve POV

I woke up blinded by sunlight coming from the window. A pair of strong arms around my waist. I love the morning scent of him. His stubble shadowing lightly over the morning sun. He's just amazingly beautiful even at this time of the day. His legs draped over me as i lay under his powerful hold bare naked. His hair tousled yet so sexy. I am in the middle of my daze when he suddenly pull me up into his chest and kissed me.

"Hmmm... you're gawking me my sweet..." I smiled. "Oops you caught me babe..." He chuckled. "Well, if i were the first to wake up i'd be ogling you the whole time." We burst into laughter.

We felt lazy so we leave our enticing bed a little late. I took a shower first followed by Rob. We planned to go out for brunch so i put on a dark blue tank top, a pair of worn out jeans, and a flat strappy sandals while my baby wore a beige shorts and a black fitted tees. Simple but totally smoking hot.

We drove down to this diner which i found out that it's Rob's favorite. We went inside and sat on a booth close to a 42" flat screen tv. A waitress came and ogled my baby before taking our orders. I glared at her then slide my left hand where my dazzling diamond was so she could back off. When the waitress left, Rob chuckled. "What?!" Rob stop smiling. "I'm sorry babe, i just thought you're gonna kick that waitress' ass. Possessive much?" I gave him a scowl. "Oh, so you love being the center of the attention of women?!" I rolled my eyes. "No baby, i just love it when you're jealous... i love you..." He grab my hand and gave it a little squeeze. "I love you too sweetie..." I gave him my best breathtaking smile.

Our orders came so we started eating. The food is great. Now i can see why Rob brought me here. Everything seems to be simple which made us off of things especially Rob whose been under too much pressure and stress.

A sudden news caught my attention...

A college professor named Joe Mossier was arrested this morning. The said professor was once married and had a PTSD when his wife died two years ago. Some said that he was drawn to fights has gone mad.The suspect was caught molesting an ebony haired with hazel eyes student. More and more parents of the said college university came out with the same accusation. Footages from the school CCTV was found and authorities took it as hard evidence towards the accused. Mr. Mossier was fired from the university and now under the custody of NYPD. The investigation of this case is thoroughly executed by the famous Lieutenant Joseph Michele.

My mouth was left open and dropped my fork together with my knife. "Are you okay baby?" Rob asked shaking my hands. "It's Joe... I-i-i don't know... a-ah what if they drag me into this baby? I'm scared." He hurried to my side. "Baby i won't let anything bad happen to you.." I shook my head. "Rob, i've been meaning to tell you this, at the after party of our graduation, i talked to him to clear things out, for closure. H-h-he kissed me but i slapped him. What if they got a footage of that...?" Rob seems a little bit shocked but somehow recovered easily. "I'll do my best to protect you baby..." That's all i heard. I can see from his eyes that there's something he isn't telling me. I know my revelation is sudden but i have to be honest with him. I love him.

After finishing out food, we head home and Rob made his way to his office then made some calls. I stayed in our room and think about what's gonna happen next. I felt something odd about Rob. I hope this won't affect him on marrying me. I love him so much and it will kill me losing him.
