The CEO

I am currently in the CEO's office. The interior amazed me as soon as I entered and now I am in love with it, simple yet classy. Sitting with the CFO who happens to be my brother-in-law and discussing business is just another level. Well, i did not get any favors to get in here, Drew may be my brother-in-law but he's very honest for his work and has ethics. I never imagined I would be discussing business deals with him one day. Funny. We are waiting for the CEO to arrive and it's already more than 3 hours, we are almost done reviewing the upcoming plans.

"Isa let's go and have lunch, Mr. Feinberg will be delayed, he's still in a meeting" "Sure" We had lunch in the office canteen, the food was really good. At my reaction Drew elaborated that meals and snacks of the employees are managed by the company itself. Generous Much! We are now on the way to the CEO office again, hope he is there and we don't have to wait anymore.

"There you're bud. How was the meeting?" "Pathetic" "Not worthy to be our clients I suppose, we have one scheduled tomorrow with another, i will review it and forward it to you for decision. Sorry could'nt help you out with this one" "Don't worry" "Did you have lunch?" "No time for it" I was standing there and listening to their small talk which was taking forever to finish. Mr. CEO had his back towards us, Drew had already taken his seat, while I was standing at the back, listening to Drew speaking non-stop and on the other hand Mr. CEO using one words. Hahahaha. I was amused. "Oh! I forgot, I have brought your marketing head with me. Isa please meet our CEO, Liam she's Isabella Brooks our marketing head and hopefully the COO soon" Till now I had my eyes on Drew but when he said Liam i instantly looked towards the man that had his back towards us. This can't be true, my heart is beating really fast. As in movies some scenes go super slow, he turned towards me and my heart stopped. This can't be true! "Liam" "Bella" "Wait you guys know each other?" "Drew I can't work here" Drew was fast enough to come to me "What happened baby girl?" "Baby Girl? Why are you calling her that" Liam was furious? It was the first time i heard Liam using so many words and I think Drew was surprised as well. "She's Dawn's sister and my little baby girl" Drew answered ruffling my hair which always worked like a charm in making me relax. Drew and my relationship was like brother and sister rather he was a father figure to me, I got his brotherly possessiveness as well as fatherly love which I never received even from my father. "Bella, why do you want to resign?" "Beacuse I'll be working for you Liam" "So?" "I don't want you to think that I made it here because of Drew, or I already knew who you were back then" I said this and left. Drew was still in there, he and Liam were chatting about something. I don't mean anything to him, he won't stop me. I know that.

"What's the deal Isa?" "He's the man that I met during the trip to island" "You have feelings for him, don't you?" I was a sniffing mess after hearing this. "I started loving him before I knew, I can't work with him, sanely, I know he doesn't have the same feelings for me. I'll be a mess like this around him as well Drew.
